I purchased a puppy from an online sale to be transported to me. The breeder then partnered with a shipping company to have me pay up front fees for urgent shipping costs that were to be refunded upon the dog's delivery like temperature controlled crates due to the hot weather, travel insurance, the last request they made that finally woke me up to the fraud was the dog was somehow in Texas which was never a location it should have been in and there was a city permit needed for health check and special vaccination due to COVID. Status updates on the location and arrival time for this dog constantly changed and were vague. Looking back, when I would reach out to the breeder on status updates on the dog like new pictures, if I could get advance medical records so I could schedule an appointment with my vet, exact birth date of the dog, etc; all were unanswered. They requested all payments via Zelle due to urgency as this puppy was stuck at airports pending certain clearances and that left me with no means to get my money back. The dog never existed either.

We ordered a puppy online from a breeder. United expressed logistics was to deliver said puppy. They supposedly made arrangements to send the puppy. Then change the terms of the agreement and requested an additional payment of $1500. They refused to tell us how else to get the puppy.
