Site sells IQ tests. Once you pay $0.99 for the results they take you through a series of other services and even if you skip it still charges your card. I skipped the add-ons and was still charged.

I saw a pop-up add for an IQ test. I took the test and at the end was asked to pay for different levels of the cerebrum product to increase my IQ. There was also a prompt for $0.99 to just get the test results alone. I selected that and input my credit card. Before I was given my IQ results, there were about seven more prompts asking me to join or pay for the subscription services. I kept hitting skip…then I finally got my score. A moment later, I get an email saying I registered for a $49 subscription and skipped the trial period and was charged immediately. I wrote them to explain that I never subscribed but they responded that I clicked “yes” to their terms and services and they offer no refunds. This is a scam.

Site claims it is .99 for a trial of the website but upon paying they make an additional charge for between $20 and $50

Lured me in with a test and a free trial period of 7 days. I agreed to pay $1 for the test results and indicated I did not want to continue with a subscription so therefore thought I had cancelled any further connection to this business. I received no test results, no invoice or receipt and no email confirming an account with them but then was charged $27 on my visa. I believe I have now cancelled any subscription but they claim to have a no refund policy. I don’t trust that I won’t be charged again but will have to watch my visa statement.

The scammer charged unauthorized payments to themselves via PayPal. I am sure this is happening to many individuals using their IQ test. You automatically pay for the .99 cent results and they automatically steal money from your account stating it is a subscription via PayPal. This is completely false information because no deal of a subscription was ever done. It was just supposed to charge a .99 cent fee of one time payment for one time results.

Cerebrum.IQ offers an IQ testing service run via online banner advertising using Elon musk as a backdrop. The offer i signed up was for 99 cents so i could dowload the result of the test. Well, there were optional services intricately woven in the terms which they claimed i opted for. I did not. I also saw they have started billing paypal 4x for 47.00. In a matter of half an hour. I cancelled the service and asked to be refunded the service i did not buy. Tgey refused to issue a refund, referring to their terms etc. And they also claimed i used their extra services which is not true.

My mother found a website that she thought was a free IQ test. After taking it, the site asked for her email to get her results. It then asked her to sign her up for a subscription that she could cancel at any time for which she was charged $.99. However, they also charged her $48.01 for "registering" her email (when she was trying to cancel the subscription) and then for an additional "add-on offer" for $32.99. Thank goodness she used Paypal, which figured out how to cancel the regular payments they set up for her account.

The site uses deceptive tactics to try to trick you into signing up for an expensive subscription that you were unaware of. Cancelling the subscription is made to be overly difficult, and even then they may not follow through with cancellation requests.

This is weird because I thought i was just paying shipping for something and ended up being charged $100. My credit card company caught it and the money was returned. Now with a new credit card number, i was charged again. I dont know how they are doing this.
