Type of a scam: Government Grant

A 'friend' told me my name was on a list to receive a free grant from (UDLG).
I became suspicious but still filled out some information. They did not ask for money test, but wanted to confirm my address with a picture they sent. That's when I stopped communicating with the Agent Peggy Smith. I blocked her and my friend Darte Asbell. I actually worked with a gentlemen named Darte Asbell.
After looking up UDLG to I realized it's a scam.

I almost got scared by these people who tried to get me to pay money to get money. I talked with my mom and read her the information in the message. I filled out the application and sent it back to them. I'm sorry for the ones that got scammed. Some people take advantage of people who are barely getting by. If you receive this email or message delete at ONCE!

Scam - UDLFG

Received a message from a friend asking how I was doing. I replied, they then told me they had strep throat. I responded with concern. They then asked if I had received notifications about the ongoing UDLG program? I replied that 'this sounds like a scam' and asked the individual to prove that they are who I assumed they were. Specifically, I asked the individual to tell me what church I attended. No more messages were received.

This has been an expensive 2 day.
Agent Roi Williams said he was on the way with the money. But frist i had to send in 500 dollars for taxes then anither $225 plus no wants 200 for delvery so far its cost me 825 dollars a d he wsnts another 200 to pay me back. I now have .11cents left. I was told i was eligible for a $60,000 grant.
I want to get my 825 back as this effects my 4 teenagers as well as me. No money in need of grocerys.

Received a text from friend on Facebook messenger. She asked if I Received my money from U.D.L.G. She said she say my name next to her's. Said to text HELP to (405) 518-876. I've attached the screen shot from the reply I received.

I was contacted by a friend saying that they seen my name in a list from the UDLG program and they wanted me to hurry and go to this website to a lady named Mary Jones and tell her that I am ready to apply to the UDLG program. I knew it wasn't my friend because all they where interested in doing was having me go to the website and message the lady named Mary Jones I did that and nothing poped up only a scam from Facebook saying scammers are hacking peoples account and posing as a friend talking about one should hurry and apply to the UDLG program. Don't fall a victim to this my fellow Americans its a Scam. Report them. Please, Thank you. Have a Great Day

Received “Final Notice” letter in the mail, see image below. I did not respond as no company name was given, checked the given phone number via google. A scam was indicated. Aug 14, 2026
