I am a Uber driver. I received a phone call and the caller claimed to be Uber support saying he is investigating a complaint. He started asking me questions containing personal information. I then contacted the Uber support on the app (the real one), asking the legitimacy of the call I received. Initially Uber support (the real one) told me, Uber support can be called for investigations, which lead me to believe the legitimacy of the scam call. I thus answered the questions sent via texts. He used the number of 463-333-3192 to ask questions. My name, email, phone number, Driver license number, photo are then provided to the scammer. The scammer then said thanks to my time for the investigation and wanted to “compensating” me. He asked the balance of my Uber account and asked to to add a debit card of his to my account. At this point I knew he was gonna instruct me to do a withdraw of my balance to his card, I contacted Uber support again and they told me it is a scam. I then hang up. Yesterday, someone trying to use my information to log into my Uber account, which eventually led to my account being suspended by Uber.
