An agency named "Trinity (TSG LLC)," address of 1800 Century Park East, Ste 600, Los Angeles CA 90067, telephone (888) 381-XXXX Wednesday, 18 Feb, 2025 I got a call from someone claiming to be of that agency, to advise me of a court action being taken against me, regarding collection of a supposed old bad debt from capital one in 2012. The attorney she represents she states is Emma Smith and the lawyer assistants name was Megan.
Megan was very aggressive, threatening and demanding. She stated that they mailed me a letter to my current home addressing this supposed debt. She stated my current address verbally. She also scared me and stated a served processor came to my home on Feb 9, 2025 to serve me papers to sue me for $20,000. This lady caught me off guard I just woke up from sleep feeling very sad of some personal family issues.

However, there were some things that just did not sound kosher to me, her behavior was not of any legal of professional entity. Scared and confused all at the same time. I stated I don’t know what you’re speaking of I need to see this supposed debt. I told her from the very beginning I was totally unaware of what debt from capital one she was speaking of. I did request she email or mail the supposed original letter the company mailed to my home previously. She said she couldn’t and manipulated me by changing the subject scaring me again with her threats of going to court and needed to pay fees for a lawyer.
During this call she offered a non-judicial settlement which the rep said I had to accept on the spot for it to be valid. She initially stated to avoid paying the $20,000 to which the debt has accrued from 2012 they would be willing to settle for a onetime payment of $1200 or if I paid Trinity $400 in 3 monthly installments, the case would be dropped. At that moment she started to calm her voice and talk a little kinder to me now that I think back. I guess she knew at that point she scared me enough. Part of me at that very moment was wondering if I am being scammed of $400 and whether I'm about to be scammed of the rest. They basically tried strong-arming me into e-signing as well as processing one payment of $400 from my bank account.

I was very uneasy after the call so I called 2 people one being attorney. He immediately told me to cancel the payment with my bank and also ask for a new banking card and account number. He informed me to call capital one credit card and alert them of the matter and also inquire if they have any record of a capital one account ending in xxxx. He also advised me to request my free credit report from all 3 credit bureaus to research old accounts Still awaiting my credit report. My friend and I did a little research and he made some phone calls. This company isn’t a legitimate company or BBB certified. It seems they have been scamming people for a while. There are many negative stories involving this entity. I have read a dozen stories of this company scamming and harassing people. I was very vulnerable and I feel so stupid and now paranoid that these people will try to steal my identity. However, I’m taking the proper protocol as best as I can.

I have never in my life spoke to anyone from any business entity in regards to a bill or a debt speak to me in that manner. Argumentative, hostile, demanding, threatening, manipulative, blackmailing. I can’t believe people are harassing and preying and victimizing women like this. I’m actually scared for my identity at this point. I again was caught to off guard to defy them. Common sense started kicking in right after.im reporting them. guess what they refunded me money. how odd is that

I recently received a call from TSG and Associates. I attempted to call this number and got a continuous busy signal. I then looked at my last statement and it had the number 877-313-0640. The number left for me to call back an Abby, was 888-890-2292.
Both numbers are busy signal.
I think I have been paying scam company.
I will do further investigating to see who these people really are.

TSG group keeps calling my number but looking for my sister-in-law. They said she owes money and for her to contact a lawyer and for her to call back. I told them I don’t speak to her, don’t have a current number for her & for them to stop calling me, but they always call. I finally got my SIL’s from a cousin. I told her to call them, she did & said it was a scam because she asked for them to send a fax or mail her the paperwork because she doesn’t owe any money anywhere & they slammed the phone on her.

I received a call from a gentleman stating that I owed a debit from a company called Spiegel that is no longer in business. I called the company. Ask for copies of the paperwork stating that I owe and the gentleman that answered the call was very rude and gotten upset all because I asked for paperwork. Then blocked my phone number.

I got a call from someone from tsg about a debit from a company called tsg llc also know as trinity. I called and ask for paperwork showing that I own this money and they person on the phone was very rude. Then they block my phone number every time I try to call them so I called from a different number and they placed me on a long whole never came back on. I really think this is a scam company so be aware also, the company that they are trying to give collect money from is no longer in service. They have been out of service since 2009.

They called and said they represented Capital One. They got 3 payments. Of $307.44 and my capital one account still shows the same balance. How do I get my money back? Can I get involved in the class action suit. This is ridiculous. People are trying to make amends with their past obligations and are getting ripped off. Request paper documentation of debt. Mail your payments to the right people.

They call me saying I a debt of 3500 they want me to pay monthly installments from a debt that was almost 17 years ago and I speak to Lexington Law they can't find it on my recorder report something just. They told me that if I ignore it then I got to come out of pocket of almost $9,000 don't add up some just say right they're saying they're from Trinity will really is weird as I got a private call giving me the number and a reference number to speak to Jackie Smith but some guy answered the phone

I received a phone call from the County to let me know that this company was suing me and to give them a call. I call the company and they try to get a loan from someone else to pay them what I owe to a credit card company that I didn't even know. They had my name, address, place of work. Yes this is a big scam and it needs to be stop!

The number 877-326-3660 called me. I missed the call. Called back, in case it was an important agency. It was TSG. I asked the rep to repeat what he said it stood for, and he rudely and loudly said T as in Tom, S as in Sally, and G as in GOOD GOD. I got upset, got loud with him in return and asked how the heck they got my information. He proceeds to tell me that I must have forgot that I signed up for a vacation package 3 years ago and that it's my fault for forgetting and to stop screaming at him. I tried to deescalate by lowering my voice and asking to talk to a supervisor. He continued to talk over me and then hung up on me. I called back, and it was a lady who before I could say anything already knew who I was and said hello this is xxxxx I'm a supervisor with TSG how can I help you? I told her about her rude employee and that I'd like to know how they got my information. She said she would talk to the employee and then said I must have forgot I signed up for a vacation package. I told her very plainly, I did not sign up for any package with them or anyone. She proceeded to hang up. I called a third time. Different lady. But she answered as a "customer service representative." Before I could say anything again, she asked me if I wanted to close my account. I said I'd love to and I'd also like to know how you got my name and number. She said the same thing, that I must have forgot that I signed up for a package. When I said (sternly) that I did not sign up for anything again, before I finished she cut me off and said in a rude manner well you have yourself a wonderful day and hung up on me. I called a 4th time, from a family member's number, to "play along" to see if I could calmly get them to tell me how they collect info.

The second lady I talked to answered and asked if I had a missed call from their number, I answered calmly yes I did. She then proceeded to ask me if I forgot that I signed up for a vacation package 3 years ago. I said as a matter of fact I did forget. She mumbled something, I asked her to come again or repeat herself, and she then hung up on me. I called a 5th time, calling anonymously from my phone. It was the same lady with customer service. I asked who is this because I had a missed call from this number. She asked me for my phone number so she could look me up. I told her that I did not want to give her my number because they should already have it, seeing as how they were the ones who called me. The lady then said she can't answer any questions or tell me anything because she didn't know who I was. I said it doesn't matter, I had a missed call from you guys and I would like to know who was calling me.

She reiterated the same thing over and over very angrily, that she can't give me any information because I didn't give her any and she can't pull up my account. She hung up on me as well. I did call the number a couple times after talking the customer service rep, and the "supervisor" answered both times and hung up, once after saying oh it's you again and then the second time said ok I'm reporting you to the police stop harassing us and immediately hung up before I could say anything.

This company is a major scam. I'm not sure how they got my name and number, but they were extremely rude, wouldn't tell me anything about how they got my information, and then threatened me with police when I tried to continue to find out how they got my information. Very upsetting.
