My wife and I were vacationing in Aruba and received she received an email immediately following an American Airlines COVID contact tracing email on December 8, 2023 from Sam Connor at flig********com indicating that she needed to confirm our seat request. They had our the American Airlines Record Locator number and our seat assignments. The heading of the email read "American Airlines Confirmation and Seat Assignments Request "ZM***A". When my wife called the 1-888 number they indicated that our preferred seats were taken by another customer and in order for us to get home from Aruba to Philadelphia on our flight and additional payment of $884.91 was required. That's when my instinct started to kick in and my wife was asking me for my credit card information and confirming our address with them. Thankfully American Express found the charge as a fraud alert so my account never got charged, however, the perpetrators did get my personal identifying information including my name address and American Express credit card information.
