Type of a scam Tech Support

I was attempting to contact Total AV (a security/anti-virus software company) regarding canceling a subscription and a refund. I looked online for contact information since I couldn’t find it on the website I had. I was directed to the website given here which was made to look like the legitimate total AV website. I called the number given they seem to know about my account and asked for personal information, including name and date of birth for “verification purposes.” They did told me in order to get the refund. I had to go to a website while I was on the phone with them and type in a code that they gave me over the phone, again for verification. Once I type this in a program was downloaded on my computer that ended up being a screen capture type software where they could log into my computer. At that point, I begin questioning them, and they assure me that they were not looking or accessing my computer. They didn’t had me go to a website and complete a form requesting personal information, including name, date of birth, bank name, etc. They then wanted me to log into my bank account to “accept the refund.” I refuse to do that and told them I would sign in on a different device because I was not comfortable doing that. They said that would not work and I had to do it here. I question them again. I was transferred to a “billing manager.” While transferring me I closed out the screen sharing and powered down my laptop.I had an argument with “billing manager” about the same and they told me I just needed to go ahead and do it. I refused and the call was ended.

The website where I entered a code was like: www.h8thelp.top

The code was something like: ******* I then found another number that went to the real total AV company. They were able to help me with my refund much simpler. I informed them about the scam and imposters.
