We won first place at our local awards and were expecting someone from the company to reach out to us to order our plaque. Top Rated Online called and asked if we were ready to purchase our winning plaque from the affiliated award company. They told us it would be $150 for a plaque. I told them that with my rep she told us it would only be $50. “Shaun” said that it would actually be $150 because we didn’t purchase an “Ad Package”. Since we didn’t receive the previous years award, so we ordered that one as well. They took my card info over the phone. Once we received the package three weeks later (with no tracking information), we were extremely disappointed in the product we received. We’ve won several times before this so we were expecting the same design and size as the others to come in. What we received was an over sized plaque with a very poor design but had the award company’s logo on it as well as ours. We called to complain to the scam company and they agreed to send another plaque with a different design and they sent $50 back to us. After that conversation, the actual company emailed us asking if we wanted to purchase our plaque for $50. That’s when I realized I had been scammed. I called the scam company again for them to yell at me saying they were not scammers and that they wouldn’t refund my money. The actual company confirmed that Top Rated Online was a scam company.
