Type of a scam Investment

Tom Matzen presented himself as someone who would help social entrepreneurs and experts build online businesses/programs. In my case, he offered to work with me to build a professional development business and offer training. He promised marketing and to produce resources/media such as podcasts, master classes, webinars, speaking and a lot more. We met via an online summit that was advertised by a reputable university. I was asked to sign a joint venture agreement and pay an application fee, which I did (by wire transfer). After one year, nothing was produced - though he promised results in 3-6 months. Nothing had happened. It was the same situation for others in my group. He offered to pay me the money back, but did not. I met several people through this long and stressful experience who are in similar situations. There was a lawsuit against him in one state. In short, he did not deliver anything that he and his associates promised and he/they took money for it. He was not working alone. There were associates in different states and countries. I have also discovered through others that the "application fee" I paid is/was sometimes called an investment and that there were others who invested higher amounts than I did. Be careful.

If you'd like to learn the facts, not anonymous hype, happy to fill anyone in. Including the decision of one state's review of this libel and slander. (they rejected her claims once they saw the facts in one day, and apologized to me in writing). This client (of one of our clients, not our client actually, I had 12.5% of that business), clearly believes what she believes. The facts and the agreement she signed are very different.

And yet despite that, I personally felt she was in over her head and we never should have accepted her. So I offered to personally reimburse her entirely, not once but twice and she rejected it. Both times.

Beware of wild accusations, with anonymous people.
