I received a text message that states: The Toll Roads Notice of Toll Evasion: You have an unpaid toll bill on your account. To avoid late fees, pay within 12 hours or the late fees will be increased and reported to the DMV. There is also a link that is included, but I am not clicking on it.

The scammer tried to say that I owed toll charges and open a website and to contact the DMV and I haven’t been no where. This is from a hotmail.com website from someone’s personal account trying to steal information.

I was contacted by someone claiming I have unpaid tolls and would face late fees if not payed immediately. I instantly knew it was a scam due to the fact I haven’t had a car in years and even when I did I’ve never taken a toll road.

I received two text messages over the past two months. I deleted the first one, but I received a new one today. I copied and pasted the link into Safari and was met with a site reporting numerous scams about FastTrak toll payments.

The text above is what my daughter received as a text message to her phone number (501) 585-1533 today Friday, January 24 of 2025 she did touch the link and went into the website and put her debit card information in and paid that fake toll out of fear because it says they were going to contact the Dmv

I was traveling through Illinois tollway on July 17. I could only pay by online, instead of just dropping money on the way by, like it use to be. I then received a text stating that I owed my toll $19.51 and if I did not pay it that I may accrue an additional $50 charge so I followed the prompt and paid it with my credit card. Then today my credit card reported fraudulent activity of about $6000 so far. The credit card is stopped and they are investigating this activity. I called the Illinois tollway and they said yes there is a scam going on across the US tollways. I have the screen shots of the two messages if you want them I can email them to you. My email is [email protected] or my phone number is 6083935088. The text message came from [email protected] 7/19/24 at 6:51pm with Toll ID#9823655376 to settle balance at page.co/3r133.

I am receiving texts from Sun Pass Toll in which I have never used them nor had I heard of them. This company is pestering me to pay 19.51 to avoid paying a late fee of $50.00. Repeat! I owe this company nothing because I have never used Sun Pass Toll at anytime.

page.co/akmjjj to settle your balance.” I do not live in a toll state nor have I been to any toll states in the last year.
