Online Retailer Scam

The website tohappyvillage is a scam. A week today I purchased 3 Christmas village pieces and paid with PayPal. The PayPal authorization was sent to an individual by the name of Johnathan Omar Chavez. Few hours following the purchase PayPal notified that Johnathan Omar Chavez changed the authorized amount (by $6.94, this appears to be shipping cost). Tohappyvillage shipping policy notes that purchased items will be shipped with 72 hours and shipping tracking information will be sent. To date it has been 1 week since the purchase was made and there has been no purchase confirmation, no shipping notice and no communication from tohappyvillage despite 2 emails that I sent to check the status of the purchase. Also, since making the purchase I received 2 emails from a customer service go easy mart referencing the purchase and offering 20 percent discount off the said items that were paid for. As per the customer service go easy mart notices I left the items in the cart and a 20 percent discount is being offered for my ‘hiccup’ with the shopping and I have until 4/22/25 to follow up on the discount offer.
Besides the discount offers no other communication was received.
I have since contacted PayPal to complain and seek help with contacting Johnathan Omar Chavez. PayPal opened a line of communication between Jonathan Omar Chavez and I, however, no communication has been received as yet. I trust that PayPal will refund the $81.00 to me if Johnathan Omar Chavez does not respond before 4/28/25.

I am sharing this information as the public needs to be warned that tohappyvillage.com is set up to lure customers who enjoy Christmas villages to shop. After a purchase is made, discount offers to spend more will be received, no other forms of communication will be received from tohappyvillage and the goods will not be shipped/received.
Be aware tohappyvillage.com does not post a phone number, e-mail address and no one responds to the customer service contact form.
Do not be fooled!
