Titanadblock.com Reports & Reviews (3)

I received an email from FlexCharge (a company that processes payments) informing that a company called TitanAdBlock (Media Velocity Inc) has charged $18.94 to my credit card (with the correct last 4 digits) .

Without clicking on any links in the email, I checked my credit card transactions and noticed that the charge was there. Immediately I disputed the charge with my bank. I have no recollection of ever using this company, subscribing to this company's service and have no idea how they got my credit card information.

I clicked on FlexCharge's link in the email to request a refund and also enquire about the charge.

Shortly after, I received a second email from FlexCharge confirming the refund (which will take 3-5 business days to process) along with a URL to TitanAdblock's website. This second email stated that if this order was generated via a subscription, this refund only cancels this transaction. And to contact https://titanadblock.com/?page=cs/ to cancel any related subscription.

I browsed to the TitanAdblock site and entered my email.
The site said my account had been located and that my refund request had already been submitted. " No further action is necessary. Please check your card statement over the next few days to ensure the refund has posted to your account." (Screencap attached)

At the bottom of the site is the following details -
© 2024 Media Velocity Inc.
1712 Pioneer Ave Ste 500 Cheyenne, WY, 82001
510-338-9684

I called the number to try and clarify how the company got my CC#, what it was charging for and to cancel any subscription. A woman with a thick foreign accent named "Lori" answered the phone. I told her about my situation and gave her my email address so that she could look up my account. After going back and forth over the spelling of my email address etc, she then tells me she can't access my account.
I argued with her for 5 minutes and she told me she doesn't know of TitanAdblock or Media Velocity and can't access their accounts. She said she works for an LLC named Active Soft LLC.

She then tells me to call FlexCharge so I can speak to someone for more answers on their customer service number (408) 459-4427. I call the number only to receive a recorded message directing me to the FlexCharge website.

Feels like a total scam but I'm not sure how they got my credit card details. They must have had them from an earlier date as I am very careful with phishing emails etc.

Company says "You've subscribed - payment due" TOTALLY out of the blue. I'm convinced that the link they provide to "cancel your subscription" is bogus ... and will actually result in your SUBSCRIBING to their ridiculously priced un-needed "service."

Searched for supermarket (HEB) App on internet; found what was advertised as HEB App; began to install; followed the prompts, including the credit card information; was NEVER informed I was NOT ON or had been redirected from the HEB App; HEB App was NOT installed; credit card was charged $14.84 by Titan Adblock; Titan Adblock App was not installed; Was unable to contact the "business." Called "888" telephone number next to transaction; number was answered with a message declaring Titan Adblock categorically would NOT make anyone available to field calls on that telephone number
