We were invited to a luncheon meeting to hear about how we could terminate our time share. This company (Timeshare Help Source) then explained how they could get us out of our obligations on our timeshare and after two hours of talk they convince us they could get our timeshare terminated with Star Island in Kissimmee, FL for their fee of $7,091.00 which was fully refundable if they did not achieve the exit within 24 months. We paid them this amount via American Express on July 8, 2021. On January 14, 2022 they sent us a deed transfer document asking us to sign over our deed on the timeshare to a person named Ahmad O'neal. We informed them that we would not sign over this document unless they provided a copy of the resale purchase agreement that is required by Florida Law. They refused to provide us with any other documentation at all claiming that this was part of their proprietary process and we would have to trust them that after we signed it we would receive documentation from Star Island that our obligations on the timeshare had been terminated. This seemed very fishy to us so we did not sign over the deed in fear that we would be giving it away but still have obligations to Star Island. We went back and forth with them for another few months and then they told us they would not refund per the guarantee within the contract we signed with them. We believe this company was practicing fraudulent activity to get people to pay them to get our of their timeshare and then not performing the service according to their own contract.
