I was just scammed by tilray imposter

I had hopes of getting a remote job with tilray. I saw the job post on Facebook jobs, and I was contacted after having interest, I had to download Signal and he hired me. I sent a picture of my Social Security card and my drivers license, which is something that every job asks for so I didn’t think anything of it. After that it was a total nightmare he tried to get me to buy a $200 Apple gift card and I declined upon declining. My entire Facebook account was hacked, and all my friends Started sending me screenshots of my account talking to people and sending job offers and posting job offers on all these work from home job sites. I still cannot get into my account. I have a list of every single person that attacked right now. I’ve been doing a lot of research online and getting the police involved. This is not right to do to people, especially struggling single mother’s. They are heartless.

My boyfriend just had the same scam try and get him. Told him to download the Telegram app and then gave the following. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDES:
Tracks data and source documents.Prepares and sorts source documents, and identifies and interprets data to be entered.Compiles,sorts and verifies data for accuracy,Contacts responsible parties to resolve moderately complex questions,inconsistencies or missing data.Enters alphabetic,numeric or symbolic data from source documents into computer following format displayed on screen, and enters necessary codes.Compares data entered with source documents identifying errors and subsequently correcting any errors.

This is strictly an online and work from home job where everything is been done online remotely. You can work in the office if you want once we are through with setting up our new branch (Company) at your location and you can as-well work from anywhere of your choice or anytime you want/any time that does suit you.The working hours are flexible.

The pay rate is $22 per hour training is $18 per hour and you will get payment weekly via direct deposit .Working Part Time is 20 hours and Full Time is 40 hours weekly.You will be paid by Direct Deposit ... Is that okay by you ?

There were red flags everywhere: improper grammar when trying to have conversation with them, never introduced themselves by anything other than the “hiring manager”. Wanted to do an interview via chat instead of via webcam/zoom/over the phone. Asked standard interview questions but then asked if he had any debt. He said no. The “HR” advised that the company helps pay new employee debt off. Again, he said that he had no debt. Then the following question was if his credit card was set up to pay off debt. I took the phone and thanked them for wasting our time and they deleted all messages.

Saw a post on a community FB page from a Samantha Clayton who said the company was hiring. I messaged her.
Brendan Kennedy was going to interview me on Telegram. I did participate in the interview and it seemed legit. I research the Company and found the gentleman Brendan on the company site.
He asked for my email and sent me an confirmation email about the job. When he asked for my social security number I knew there was a problem.
The lady on FB told me it was fine to do and a secure company. When I told her it wasn’t because as soon as I refused to send my SS, Brandon Kennedy stopped communicating with me, she removed herself from FB.

I was sent a text message from someone saying they were from Tilray and they liked my resume and wanted to know if I was interested in a job, data entry, administrative...a few jobs were listed and the pay was $49/hr/ and they were going to pay $20/ hr. to train. I texted back with some questions and asked if I could speak directly with someone as I could not find any information online about the company. I did not receive a response. Having just been recently scammed by a well-known national company, it is impossible to trust any company who wants to hire you without an in-person or video interview first. If it seems too good to be true, it is!

I saw this onkline for a accounting job that the company would train me for. All communication was through Skype and Hangouts. It stared out okay and then I was being asked to make Bitcoin purchases with money thety forwarwded to me which I found out later that the money may have gained by illegal means. I did the research ahead of time and they seemed legit. But now I relize that I was scammed and Don't trust the job offers from Tilray

I had an almost identical situation from a presumed imposter "Tilray Company" via a Facebook post offering immediate hire for data entry. I also did research and was convinced the opportunity was legit. I completed the interview via telegram private chat, and was in the process of providing the information they requested when they threw up a big red flag, the person asked for my Facebook username and password, this is where the communication stopped from me. I immediately contacted the original poster from Facebook, they assured me that everything was legitimate and even told me that they were employed by the company and that they simply needed the info in order to put me in the company database. I didn't take the bait and deleted all the images and information I had provided via telegram, beware, I don't know what the goal of this imposter is but they're very legitimate in appearance and could very easily scam anybody that's simply looking for legitimate employment.. Be careful!

I seen this job offer online that kind of sounded too good to be true but I wanted it to be true. I did some major research and with the help of the ScamPulse.com chat sessions, I was able to determine this is not legit. They used the resource persons name and picture in the instant messaging app "Hangouts". I called the actual company. The representative I spoke to stated that they do not use "hangouts" app for any of their employment opportunities. Please be aware and do your research before sending out personal information!
