Received a local call from a person stating to be a state processor. They stated I would be receiving a wage garnishment and gave a number to a law firm that was handling the matter. I called Mcgavern and Polk. They had basic information on a debt that has been closed for years. I told them basic information such as when the debt was closed and stated I have proof. The man said I'll se you in court and hung up. Same state processor called back 2 weeks later stating they had my file again and were going to file it with that state of Ohio if I did not call Mcgavern and Polk. I called again. Let them know i did speak with someone and he said he would see me and court. I advised him I did pay and gave the date again. This time he tried to get more information like the companies name, phone number, amount paid and confirmation number, When he asked for more information on the company, I stated if he had it already since he is there debt collector, I would confirm the number but I was not reading anything to him, he disconnected the call.
