We were required to find a move out cleaner when our lease ended, the management company provided a recommendation - The Cleaning Chics. We texted the owner, Jodi and she advised it would be $50 a hour and she recommended that we clean beforehand to save money. We cleaned our townhome on 6/19/2023 and Jodi arrived on 6/20/2023. After being there for 3.5 hours we received a text that we owed her $1200.00. Jodi advised she had to send 7 females in and the total man hours equated to $1200.00. Never once did Jodi advise more than one person would be sent over, it is a 1000 square foot townhouse 7 women were not needed, we cleaned before and it was nearly ready to move in - at most one person should have been there for two hours to do the areas we could not reach, she also spilt cleaning supplies and left a pink stain in the carpet. I called her the night of 6/20/2023 and told her we would not be paying her that amount for the reasons listed above and her response was "good thing the carpet cleaner will get the stain out". I then attempted to find out more about her, she does not have a real website, just the facebook link I attached and she has turned off her reviews. I went looking into other property management reviews and I found a review saying our property management company, Luna properties, advised the tenant uses The Cleaning Chics and they were charged $1200.00. We then wrote up a text and tried to explain our reasoning for not paying her $1200 and to negotiate with what we are willing to pay her and our numbers have been blocked. Jodi is doing this all around Bozeman - an average move out clean in Bozeman is $400.00. She needs to have her website removed so this does not happen to others.
