Type of a scam Fake Invoice/Supplier Bill

Sent a spam email with a broken unsubscribe link, claiming to be "The Best of Sacramento" and offering to list our business for only $99 (regular price $299 so this must be a bargain) in the "best of business" website. This website is literally just a list of everyone who gives them money. No one is reading this list. It's not a legitimate publication. The reply to email address is [email protected]. If you Google the phone number he uses, it is associated with all sorts of scams. The email looked almost legitimate, until I started googling the domain name, "Jeff Rogers," and that phone number. This is as low as scamming people to "register their domains."

Jeff Rogers is the one who will contact you saying they are setting up a best of directory for the City your business is in. He will say that they are taking $100 off if you act now, we paid $199. Once you pay, you will never hear from him again. I have tried several times to contact him and it's to no avail. We are a new business and just got scammed out of $200 from this jerk. I hope he gets caught soon so no one else gets scammed. I recommend people do their research before signing up with anyone.
