Type of a scam Debt Collections

I received a letter a few months ago claiming I owed $19,236,which is a Lie unless my identity has been stolen, and I regularly check this information. So no information was on the letter addressing who the debt is supposedly owed to, no address of where this letter came from, no name of who is trying to collect this debt only a contact number. So I disregarded the letter, but I kept it for future reference, then 4-9-2018 I received another letter from these people claiming "RESOLUTION OF UNSECURED DEBT" IF I call 1-877-293-8435 they will reduce my debt to $6,732!!!! Yea right, so i called and asked what is the name of this company, and the woman on the other end didn't want to answer, she kept asking for my processing number, I said tell me the name of the company and I'll give you my processing number. So she finally said Teleconnect, not sure if this is spelled right because she wouldn't spell it after I wouldn't give my processing number. I'm sure this is some type of scam, because I've never received any type of bill or collection that didn't have name of company, the address, or information about who the debt is owed too.And I've never seen a collector go from Nineteen thousand dollars to six thousand.
