in October 2019, my computer was hacked by what was presented as Microsoft. Being unable to do anything, including shutting it off, I called the phone number provided. Person who responded said that the first message was a scam, because the employee ID provided did not have enough digits and that they would help me. They gain access (I provided) for them to clean my computer. While there, they accessed my bank account - $5199 -- for a lifetime of support.I felt like this was a scam, but did nothing because of personal struggles going on at the time; life and death were more important than $. On March 10th, I was contacted again --- supposedly to refund the money. It was something which should take an hour to complete. At one point, original person who contacted me pulled out saying that he would have nothing to do with this. Contact by Allen Johnson who was in charge of the department and he would get my money back.Allen has promised several times if I do this one more thing, my money would be credited back to my account. At one point he did credit my account -- but did twice as much as he should have. To correct it, I needed to provide gift cards. All along, I knew this was wrong, but I try to believe in people. Allen now texts, and calls constantly. Sent me a text yesterday (3/1/20) requesting two more gift cards for $1000 to cover the taxes, because I had paid with by debit card. I had not paid with debit card and wow!, what a tax system.Beyond the mistake of trusting, all other mistakes have been theirs. Message received today is that says if I do not respond, my computer will be locked up (as it was the first time) and the server will empty my account. It goes on to ask for two more gift cards totaling $1000, Over a week ago, they mistakenly sent me a refund check for $120,000. Memo line was for IRA payout. They told me they had two *** *** and to not cash it. Then they told me to deposit it, keep what I was owed, and send them the rest. As you can see, this is getting worse. Please help this from happening to anyone else.
