I found a job posting for a "tech event assistant" role that seemed perfect for young people and students. The job was for an in-person event, promising high pay and flexible hours. However, it turned out to be a complete scam. The event didn’t exist, and all the speakers listed were fake. The job application was through a poorly designed, suspicious website, and after "getting hired," I was asked to pay for "training materials."

This scam targeted young teens, using fake job details and a fake event to lure them in. It's dangerous because it's not remote requiring in-person involvement and seems designed to exploit vulnerable young people.
