Tech Support - QBO Solutions Reports & Reviews (1)

I was calling, what i thought was a quickbooks website to ask about a charge they had on my visa and why i had not received the updated version of the program, for the most current year. They asked to enter my computer through team viewer and They continued to tell me that my file was corrupt and that i needed to get it fixed. That it was at 43% corrupt and when it got to 50% it would be too late and i would lose all my data. That i had not been shutting down my file everyday and it was resulting in multiple errors in my file, that because i had so many errors, they were not able to send me a new program. That nothing was syncing due to the database corruption. So based on my file size (114 mb) they offered to fix it at $15+ per mega byte. It would take 2 weeks but it i wanted it done right away i could pay more and have it back the next day. I was not prepared to pay this and had to think on it. Told them I couldn't understand why i had to pay for something their program was failing at and was told it was because of user error. He would not send me an email to recap all that we discussed or to list the prices he had quoted, but left a phone # 1-833-603-0120 that i could call directly back to once i had made a decision. I later did some googling about corrupt database, only to find out that the real Quickbooks had listed this as a scam .... Original phone number called was 1-877-580-1428, also listed on website is 1-855-519-3180. Once i figured out what was going on i called the real quickbooks and was told, yes it was a scam. They have help and wouldn't cost me a thing.
