Good heavens! Where to start? Last July I called what I thought was Apple tech support. I now realize, after doing a little research, that this outfit cleverly posts this under google search results, with an address that is so close to Apple's that it fools people. My computer was acting up, and they did a "scan" of my computer, and declared I had several viruses and stuff, and that if I paid $200 for a 2-year package that included Malwarebytes, some kind of firewall protection, and something else I forget, this would take care of me for good. Covers all my devices, etc. I remember being a bit suspicious of them then, but I went ahead and did it, and it fixed my computer. So I didn't suspect anything. But this year around the time I purchased last year, Malwarebytes kept sending me messages my subscription was about to run out. I contacted them and they knew nothing about me. Finally I called TechCube, and instead of just saying they'd let Malwarebytes know I had a two-year subscription, they insisted on accessing my computer to "find out what happened". I foolishly let them, and after a long scan, they tried to convince me I had a hacker! Immediately I realized THEY were the hacker. They wanted me to pay another $250. I refused, got rid of them, and immediately changed my passwords. When I was doing that, I discovered they had disabled my Mac computer's firewall! I just hope they haven't done anything else.

In the process of trying to report them to Apple, I called that bogus number. Someone answered, but when I started talking about TechCube, he hung up on me! When I tried to call back, they had blocked me from calling them. Now when I do a google search, that number does not come up. I called the real Apple, and told them about it.

They impersonate HP help with printer installation. They infect your computer and attempt to make you subscribe to antivirus service at extremely inflated price and what worse snoop around your computer to steal private information.

I called "HP" to get new printer drivers. It is very hard to tell this is not HP and HP needs to do something as this harms their brand. Why are they not taking action to shut them down?
They told me my brand new computer was infected etc. and i needed malware software. I felt like a sucker after it was all done. Total BS. And now worried about security even though my passwords are changed etc. Horrible experience.

We just got our computer back after having malware taken off. Printer wouldn't connect, so we got in touch with "HP tech support". They wanted to charge almost $700 for a 3 year contract. My husband did not hit the submit button for the transaction, came to talk to me about it, by the time he got back, it was processed. I tried to tell the foreign man that my husband didn't consent. He had no respect for women and told my husband to tell me I was causing trouble. He said he couldn't void the transaction. Then he blamed me. Now they have all of our information. On the phone now with the bank to try to cancel the transaction and get a new card.

Had to have my hard drive repaired and lost my printer driver. Did a google search for my HP printer. When I tried to download, got an error saying that there was a dll error and to chat with a technician.

They told me there was a bot creating all these bad files and that my system would crash. They could fix that, no problem. Then they would install Norton or MalwareBytes for $199 + Tax. They logged into my computer, did their mumbo jumbo and "fixed" the problem. I'm concerned they now have my credit card number, which I put a hold on and reading other comments on here, I'm' very concerned about my bank account. I have no idea if they put some sort of tracking device on my computer to steal passwords and such.

Can't believe I fell for it. I am very good at figuring out scams. Really thought it was HP.

The website is: select-printer.site/printer-assistance. Didn't notice that. Looks very much like an HP website.

My wife and I had them work on our hp desk top and printer, shortly after that we were contacted by one of their techs offering a “refund” due to the server not being 100%-long story short - our savings account is $20000 lighter ! Contacted local authorities, state police and the FBI--this happened April 16th 2022, have not had any contact from anyone… This is precisely why people take matters into their own hands!

Contacted HP support via chat. They could not help so they had "one of their technicians" call me. Turns out this technician was a for profit third party and never revealed that. They asked to have access to my computer, tried to have me download a printer driver, download failed, and they said failure was because of DLL issue that infected my computer. They told me that I needed to add spyware and they offered me Norton or Malwarebytes to "clean" my computer. After I agreed to Malwarebytes and price I disconnected my computer because I became suspicious that this was a scam. They called me back, insisted they were NOT a scam, and how could they be a scam if they were representatives of HP. The fact that they were third party reminded opaque. I believed them, allowed them to download Malwarebytes, cleaned my computer, and asked that I fax them a hand signed agreement with a copy of my ID. At this point I became suspicious again of a scam and it is at this point that they admitted they are a third party working for HP. I told them that in that case I wanted to cancel my order and they told me it was too late because the order had already been filled. I told them I was cancelling, felt scammed, felt a lack of transparency, and they told me that they would cancel but needed to charge me $149 dollars for their services. Beware of HP and their opaque third party dealings.
