The company will email and text you that they reviewed your resume and made it passed the approval for an interview. The interview is done through text and they send a digital check in order for you to cash and purchase equipment. It’s a scam do not cash any check sent from an “employer”. They don’t care about any paperwork or background check, but will be pushy that you cash the check as soon as possible.

They texted me stating they had their recruitment agency look at my resume on indeed. Once I answered, they made me contact the “HR Manager” via Teams to do a message interview. Once I completed the interview, they told me I was hired and proceeded. They then informed me a check would be mailed to my house for the purchase of a laptop, printer and scanner. They impersonated a real New Zealand Company called Teak Construction Group. They sent me an email and new hire paperwork with the company’s logo on it, however this was a scam. They wanted me to deposit a fake check into my bank account to in return “purchase” my new working equipment to their preferred vendor. Glad I caught this before it was too late. Please be careful guys. You can’t even find a job anymore without getting scammed.
