saying i owe money to wachovia back in 2006

THe guy called me from T&E counsel named mr. sorentos saying i owe wachovia over 3000 dollars so i called wells fargo and they said that i didnt owe anything and that they do not send any collections to ther places. Please get these scammers before anyone else falls for their crap. They got me for almost 900 dollars. They are very rude people thratening with law enforcement and wage garnishments. Please get these people and make them pay The Mr. soreontos calls me from an restricted number all the time. WHEN THIS FIRST STARTED THEY CALLED ME FROM THE 1-888-368-7162 STATING THAT HER NAME WAS LEILA MCKINNLEY THEN i told her she was a scam and didnt call me no more until one day i got a call from a restricted number saying he was mr. serontos and that i owe wachovia 3000 dollars.

1 fell for the threats 1 time and paid them for a bill over 20 years old.
Now they are calling family members threatening legal action via a law suit for another supposed old bill.
I never received any mail, was never served with any paperwork, not have they left messages on my phone.
They use the threat of a law suit and liens on your home if you don't pay immediately.

They called and said it was an old debt from Capital one and I have 24 hours to settle an 11k debt from 12 years ago. She pushed to get us to pay 5.5k by credit card while on the phone. We asked for documentation and she hesitated. But said she would send. She sent somethng but we didnt open it because we think it is a scam. Leila McKinney was the name she gave us. Her tone was in a threatening mannor and she was pushy. She also keep warning us that it would lead to wage garnishement, property leins, car lean and more. Total criminal scam.

On Monday 9/13/2021 my wife received a call at work where a person representing themselves as a lawyer for a mediation firm suggested to her to have me call them but gave no other information.

I called them and a woman answered LEILA MCKINNEY ([email protected] the phone and identified herself saying that Capital oOne filed Civil suite against me and hired them to meditate the settlement the next day received this in an email. She told me they would settle this $7145,59 for $1454.89 if I paid it immediately and gave me 24 hours to do so. I told them to send me a copy of the judgement. I told them nothing would be paid until I verified the judgement and more importantly the debt was real. They used the wrong email address and had to contact me today to get it right. They extended the deadline 24 hours. (?) I didn't ask for an agreement but the copy of the judgement. This is what I received. I just got off the phone with Capital One and they state this account number does not exist and that this is not a sanctioned debt collector for capital one. Please report this as I will with the ScamPulse.com and the state of California.

This place called almost every person in my household looking for my uncle . Said they are a delivery service and hired by TE counsel to deliver documents to my uncle . I asked how she got our numbers and she said we are all listed as references. So weird she gave a 888 number and said her name was Alexis Garcia and gave a document number to have my uncle call back to set up a time and place to have the documents delivered . Definitely a scam but so odd the family members they were calling to get ahold of him .

This supposed company called my Ex-husband first to try and find my current husband, then proceeded to call me. The person who called said they're the 3rd party company that works for T & E Counsel and wanted to make sure my husband would be home to be served with papers. Last I checked for where we live, the sheriff serves any and all papers and it doesn't matter if you're home or not, as we have been served in the past when we weren't home and someone else got the papers for us.

Anyway, they gave me an 888 number to call and a file number and said I could call and get the details for my husband. When I have dealt with debt collectors in the past they don't let OTHER PEOPLE deal with your debts for you.

This has scam written all over it!

Same thing just happened to me . They called looking for my uncle and said they are a delivery service hired by TE counsel and they need to set up a day to deliver documents. They called 3 members in our family that are all different households looking for him . Gave a 888 number to call back and a reference number to use and said her name was Alexis Garcia
