Type of a scam Worthless Problem-solving Service
On May 25, 2023, I called LW Adler Weiner Research and was informed Claudine was out of the office today, however, Martha was working with her. I was transferred to Martha. I informed Martha that I was returning Claudine’s call. Martha proceeded to ask me about the dates that I was interested in and the area for their showroom study. After numerous questions about what type of vehicle I owned, my age, education, employment, income, family, ethnicity, geographic location, preference of vehicle I drive or would like, purchase or lease in the future, etc., Martha placed me on a one second hold then stated, “Sorry, you do not qualify for the field study.” I asked her why did she ask for my personal identifiable information first then check the field study availability/time (which took less than one second) to inform me of the disqualification? She could not provide a truthful answer. I informed her I was filing a complaint to the Better Business Bureau and updating all my family/friends concerning their research study and company. “DO NOT ENGAGE IN THIS STUDY.”
I would like to report this field study and company to the Better Business Bureau due to this isn’t a valid field study to visit their location for vehicles on display at a participating showrooms (as stated in the post card) but just a ploy to obtain personal identifiable information for research. Then they sell the information to a third parties.
Please notify other potential participants of this postcard scam.
