I initially contacted Tacoma Chihuahua Puppies through their website. Shortly after, I received a contract via email, which I signed and returned. Although the email landed in my spam folder—something I found suspicious—I decided to proceed. I made a payment of $750 through Apple Pay, as instructed. The seller requested a screenshot of the receipt, which I first sent via text (our primary method of communication). When he claimed he didn’t receive it, I followed up with an email, which he confirmed receiving.

He told me he would reach out early the next morning with shipment details. The following morning, he texted me confirming that the puppy was on its way to the vet for a health certificate needed for air travel. Later, he informed me that I would be contacted by the shipping company to pay a deposit for the rental of a dog crate.

When I was told the crate rental would cost $2,000, I immediately realized I was being scammed. I went to my bank but was informed that the transaction could not be disputed. I was advised to file a police report.

Contact by text I asked for more pics and a current video before I sent payment because I got a scam alert when I started to pay with Apple Pay. Suddenly they had took payment from another buyer. I switched puppies and was able to get a short video out of them but it wasn’t the puppy I wanted and they got all a bitty when I said so. I declined to pay and used my work phone and a different email address and inquired about the original puppy I wanted that they said they had sold and they were going to accept payment for that same puppy. When I asked for pics and a short video this time they flat said NO and I said I didn’t understand but I’d look elsewhere. Thanks anyways. They were rude both times and this time told me to do that. If they arent scamming somethings fishy or they are just [censored]ty people
