I also received a suspicious message from someone claiming to be David Bower, a "Staffing Manager" at a company called SynBio Therapeutic. The email stated that I had been selected for a Pharmaceutical Sales Rep position and included a list of questions to answer. The message promised high income potential, didn’t mention any required qualifications, and linked to a vague website (https://synbio-inc.com) that lacks any credible company details.

The email was sent via sendgrid.net, which is often used for mass email distribution—another red flag. I spoke briefly with someone claiming to be David over the phone, but the conversation was vague, he was quick to cut me off, avoided detailed questions about the company and no verifiable information was provided. He said he would follow up with more details and had to get off the call, which raised my suspicions further.

After doing my own research, I couldn’t find any trace of this company or individual on LinkedIn, FDA registries, or reputable pharmaceutical directories. The website appears to be a generic template with no actual leadership team, product pipeline, or physical office address. Based on all of this, it appears to be a scam likely intended to target job seekers—possibly leading to a request for payment for certifications or training.

I’m reporting this in the interest of protecting others who may be approached in a similar manner.

I received a suspicious email from someone claiming to be David Bower, Staffing Manager at a company called SynBio Therapeutic. The email stated that I was selected for a Pharmaceutical Sales Rep position and asked me to respond to a list of questions. It made exaggerated claims about income potential, didn’t require a degree, and referenced a vague website (https://synbio-inc.com) with little to no credible company information. It was sent via sendgrid.net, a mass email service, which raises further concerns.

Upon researching, I couldn’t verify the company or the recruiter through any reputable source like LinkedIn, the FDA, or known pharma databases. The website appears to be a generic template with no legitimate drug pipeline or executive team listed. There is no proof that this company is a real pharmaceutical organization. It appears to be a potential scam designed to lure job seekers with fake job offers, possibly to later request payment for "training" or "certification."

I am reporting this in case others are contacted by this same individual or organization under similar pretenses.

Have you received any additional emails? "David" did respond back to me after I responded to his additional email and even received a call today from "David".
