I got a phone call that said I had won $15.5 Million and a new Mercedes and all I had to do was to call this phone number 516-828-5431.

It is a pop up claiming I was randomly selected along with 100 others as a prize winner due to my longtime use of Google, like a customer appreciation gift. All I had to do was answer 4 questions quickly. A large red countdown ticked my time. I felt rushed and quickly answered what I assumed was generic information gathering. If I didn’t beat the clock, the prize would go to someone else. To lose a free fabulous gift because you can’t answer easy personal questions before the timer runs out? Unacceptable. The next page gave me a choice of three gifts, a Samsung galaxy smartphone, three years of free Netflix, or a $500 Nike gift card. I was forced to pick Nike because the other options were sold out. The last step was to fill out my personal information such as gender, name, address and card number for $1 or $2 vague fee. I didn’t know precisely what the small amount was for, only that a Nike gift card was mine as soon as I completed the transaction. There was zero mention of a sweepstakes at this point. I decided to be cautious and read the rules and regulations before I sent my bank card information, I was suspicious at this point. I am concerned for people’s credit and financial security as well as my own, this is clearly manipulation if not outright illegal. I don’t know if Google is aware of this or participating in some capacity or what, but it’s clearly a scam and the entity responsible for this seems to be using psychological tricks.

Received a check in the Mail from Highlights Lottery for $5000 and said won $500,000.  After I deposit the check to give them a call, this is to cover shipping, processing, etc. fees.

On March 10, 2023, I received a letter in the mail delivered by USPS regarding” FINAL NOTIFICATION OF UNCLAIMED WINNINGS.” The organization sponsoring this award is “CONSUMER BRAND SWEEPSTAKES. “The enveloped provided limited information.

The letter recipient heading has a complete address. The letter contents revealed informations regarding unclaimed POWER-BALL winnings of $1,500.000.00 includes checked mailed out to the address on the letter. The letter stated to contact a representative of “Senior Account Specialist, David Wallace at Nationwide Financial, (1-253-235-1389) further instruction.” The Claim# QR8132, & Draw Code: USC 782736. This letter is endorsed by “Nigel P. William, Settlements Division, Consumer Brand Sweepstakes. I believe this is definitely a scam letter to retrieve informations.

Caller said my husband had won $500,000 in a sweepstakes. After considerable discussion (with both my husband and me) he explained that he would be transferring the call to an attorney's office. The call was dropped during transfer but an attorney named Ellen Gordon, from the law firm Foster Greenberg & Associates called back. She explained that we could call the Federal Gaming Board to confirm the winnings, giving us a winning claim #. It then was explained that this was an International Sweepstakes and the check was actually being held somewhere in Seattle Washington. According to some 2010 U.S. law the taxes on this winning would be 43.2%, approximately $216,000, but that her law firm was able to negotiate a reduced tax obligation which would be approximately $65,000. She explained that HSBC was one of the corporate sponsors and that they would cover 90% of the tax amount leaving us to pay approximately $6,500, which would then be refunded to us along with receiving a check for the $500,000. I said that it didn't make sense that we'd receive a check for $500,000 plus then also get reimbursed for the $6,500 - why wouldn't the entire $65,000 just be deducted from the $500,000 and a check be issued to us for the difference. She encouraged us to call the Gaming Board to confirm the winnings and then call her back. She also mentioned that they had signed a confidentiality requirement with the Federal Government and asked that we not share any information about the winning until after all the paperwork was signed (due to be delivered with a check on Friday, March 10th between 9-11 a.m.) and the check was received at which time the confidentiality requirement would be lifted. We do not plan to continue any further contact.

Called to tell me that I had win the PCH sweepstakes for the 3 rd prize winner for a new car , tv and 8 million dollars . Had to load a gift card with $350 for my registration and give them the numbers of the card the expiration date and cod number . The prize was to be given to me in person , still waiting for that

I was told that I had won a Sweepstakes, from either a credit card or one I had registered for in the amount of 9.5 mill but their was fees that had to be paid. Shipping and Delivery fee 48 hrs Fed X, 2 Stamp fees, and a processing fee. The first money I sent was on 12/7/22 450.00 2nd on 12/8/22 150.00 3rd on 12/20/22 300.00 4th on 1/2/23 150.00 each time he was telling me that it was best to get this took care before the expiration date of the check. The last time I spoke with them was 1/2/23 and I was told that everthing was final and I should receive a check in 24 to 48 hrs I still have all tracking numbers of the cards I used.

I got a phone call saying I had won $1 million. They wanted me to pay $7500 for insurance and taxes. They really sounded legitimate.

Told me I was selected from a drawing to win $1.5 million dollars and also a Mercedes Benz with full coverage insurance and $7000 dollars for life every Friday. All I had to pay for was shipping and handling.

I got contact by person name “Thomas Bright” he said he is representing Mr. Manuel Franco (Powerball winner) to give random people that had been chosen; for money amount of $ 20,000.

They sent me the check of $ 1,550.00; i deposit the check; while I am waiting the check to be cashed. They said I need to send it back the money of $ 1,550.00. I send them the money $ 500 from Zelle; $ 1050 from Walmart. And later they ask me again to send another $ 1,500.00 (but the check from them still no cashed yet. At this time; I think this is scam. So I think lost $ 1550.00

A Frank Morgan called my client and informed her that she won a house located at 3611 Kua'aina street kalaheo, Hi 96741. He did ask for money for a bank fee in the amount of 125.00. He called me on messenger to inform me about winning a lottery in the megamillions and it was a house. He wants my client to meet him at 1032 fort street Mall. When i looked it up, its a walmart and he told my client that he has a office that was recently built. Im informing my client that its a scam, but because she is homeless and she wants move out so bad, she is willing to listen to anything. she is a 74 yr. old fijian lady. I believe this scam. I have been texting him pretending to be my client in hopes that he will come and meet here near the shelter, but he has not responded. He also reported to my client that he has 82,000.00 to give me and that i need to meet him to sign house papers and deeds.
