Person who contacted me, Julie Baker, Consumer Protection Bureau, 703/807-2356,, assigned to me as my case manager to make sure everything is legal. My sweepstakes prize $750,000, Prime Sweepstakes, Reno, Nevada. I was a 2nd place winner. She referred me to Linda Owen’s, an employee of Prime Sweepstakes, 775/593-3744. Linda went over rules and regulations, mainly if you win over 150,000 an insurance tax of 1 percent is collected before you can get your winnings. Linda referred me to the Washington Lawyers Committee (Steve McCallister) I asked him for his employee number - he gave me his badge number - WLC362ST. He also explained the program and assured me it is not a scam. He explained how to get the money to them. Send certified check or personal check since I was not feeling well. Said to go to UPS and have it mailed and call him with tracking number. Mail to: Bruce Simpson, 1523 N. Fulton Ave, Baltimore, MD 21217. Aftere receiving the 7500 dollars, Steve would make sure I got my winnings and everything done legally. He has caked me everyday since last Friday 5/2. They are closed on weekends and I was not able to take care on Friday. Received a call early Monday morning from Steve McCallister, i was still sleeping so I returned his call. He was just wondering when I was sending the money. I told him I was checking them out because of so many scams. I figured they were scammers from the start. Seve asked me to go to the Preweeps.com and he gave me my winning number to prove I was a winner. I gave them no personal information but I did go to the website and sure enough I showed as a 750,000 dollar winner. I received a call from him Mon, Tues. and two calls today. I have not been answering his calls. I pray they were not able to get information from my going to that website. I will keep a watch on everything.
