Called and said that they wanted to settle a collection debt today, and if I wasn't going to then I would hear from the courts in 4 days to set up a meeting with the judge to determine if the debt was mine. Once the judge determines the debt is mine i would be responsible for the full debt, as well as the collection companies lawyer fees.
I said that this must be a zombie debt, she said no, since it was filled in 2017. I asked why am I just now hearing about this, She could not explain, but the judge could. She said the debt was for US Bank from 2009. I said this was a Zombie debt, she said I was wrong because it was brough to collection in 2017. I asked why would the bank hold the debt for 8 years before going into collection, and she said the judge could answer all of these questions. I asked her to email me the info, and then I never received any emails from them.

they called and left a long voicemail using my name A bunch of times trying to make it sound scary saying theres been a complaint filed against me and they are giving me a chance to get ahead of it before they take it to the fullest extent of the law. let me tell you why I know this is a scam... Legit law firms don't have a Local Number come up on Caller ID and then tell you to call a different number to get back in touch, I have people I know extremely well that own call Centers and I'm an IT Specialist and they have left multiple people phone numbers that are all very similar but they are different numbers, that's because they Keep getting reported. further more the person that left his name has used the same name in different ways many times, you can even go back in this thread a see the name Logan in other calls, sometimes its his first name, sometimes its his last name. His Biggest mistake is by trying to sound professional he over sold it and sounds like a complete [censored]. don't take these guys seriously. its laughable.

They left a voicemail on my sister's phone saying they 'received formal documents regarding a pending complaint' about me and to call 855-417-7728. I have not lived in or been a resident of the US for 20 years, but my US credit score is very good. This is obviously a scam.

I was left a voicemail claiming above referenced company saying I owed a debt to Bank of America using my social security number threatening to take legal action due to a non closed account. I explained I have not had Bank of America in years and closed my account when I switched banks. The person I spoke to claimed to be a “Logan” argued and yelled at me which made me raise my voice and yell back at him because he refused to give me any information pertaining to this complaint and when I asked for him to let me talk to he refused and said this call was being recorded and it will be used against me in court. I said go ahead but you can’t expect me to confirm or deny an account with my social security number being used if you can’t give me valid proof and reason for the complaint against me. He said it was a debt that continued to grow because I never close
My account with them. Based on banking alone I know accounts will close when there’s been no activity after a period of time. I know I closed out my bank account when I used them and paid off anything I owed them in order to open up any loans going forward that May affect my chances of getting a loan. This is all seriously wrong and I am extremely upset by this call and how it was handled. I should not be getting THREATENED by any means necessary especially from a so called law firm. I am reporting this company and the man I spoke too.

had my ssn and all, which is pretty scary. However, they would not pick up with me dialing *67 in front of their number 562-419-8698
Told me I was not smart about paying my debt. A debt I don't have. Tried all avenues to get in contact with me. Called number of people I haven't talked to in years to get me to pay. So, I hung up.

This company is a complete scam for one trying to collect a “debt” under a last name I haven’t used in 10+ years and they have called everyone I know but myself about “my debt” this has got to stop

I received two phone call this week only from this company saying that its a matter of urgency that I call them as they sent out forms months ago, trust me, I don't throw things out and if I did received forms, I would have responded, and why all of a sudden they are calling me, as I never received any type of letter or correspondence. My brother text me asking if I am in a trouble with a law firm as he received a call from this group, I don't know why they called him, nor how they got his number, as I don't give out phone numbers and I was just building a bridge as I haven't talked to my family in years, now because of this group calling them, my brother is upset and angry with me, and I did tell him, that I don't know who they are, and I don't know how they got his number. Can a group do this in calling family members? that seems illegal, does anyone know who they are? why would they be calling me for something that I am not sure about, I take care of my debt in which I don't have or any borrowed money, they called from a number 657-837-9807 but to call back to a phone 855-792-1589

Debt collection agencies can contact family members or your place of work, but they have to be careful about what they ask about. Debt collectors may contact third parties like a cosigner to get your home address, phone number, or place of employment.

Left message asking my brother to call them immediately.

It went something like this "this message is being logged by Sullivan and Associates as an attempt to reach (my brother)… “Hi. This is in reference to a formal complaint, please call the corporate office at 855-792-1589. If you have any questions, this matter is time sensitive and does require your immediate attention. If there is no response, the firm will move forward with the necessary actions required to resolve this matter. This message is in reference to file number blah blah. Again, the number to Sullivan and associates is 855-792-1589

My brother doesn't even know my phone number let alone using me as a reference! Scam! Scam!

So this 'aggressive and rude' Sullivan & Associates called my cell looking for my sister. They called from 855-792-1589. When the 'guy' asked could I forward a message or give him my sisters number, I declined, he said I had no choice but to keep getting calls from them until I gave my sister a message...uhm 'cease & desist' as well as 'take me off your call list' - he refused then hung up on me. I called back blocking my number...no answer/straight to voicemail #SCAMMERS

Sullivan & associates called from (816)297-0336 claiming my husband owes Wells Fargo Bank and they are attempting to collect said debt. They even had my husband's social security number. When I attempted to call back I got a voice-mail. My husband has the (816) area code but we longer live in that area and he's never had any accounts or business in the 816 area. I feel like they are using a spoof phone number because I can not connect that number to a law firm in Kansas City or the surrounding area. I'm just worried about them having his social security number! I'm not sure how to handle that!

I just received that same phone call but from a different number. they even served me papers today at my work for a wells fargo credit card debt from 2002. Funny thing is, I never had a line of credit with wells fargo. I called them to confirm and got proof from transunion. Called these people back and told them it was bogus and I have proof. They got nasty and said "see you in court" and hung up

Called and asked for my brother. Tried to get his number from me. When I refused he asked if I could forward the message. Then when I asked him what his company was so I could forward the I fo he told me I was being difficult then hung up. When I tried to call back he hung up on me. I was so mad I could have crushed my phone.

They left a voicemail on my father’s number which he forwarded to me. They’ve called before, to my job and I called them back to tell them to stop the calls or be sued. They responded aggressively and wasn’t trying to hear that I knew the law and proceeded to hang up on me. I tried calling right back, but they wouldn’t answer. This most recent call came with a reference number, Ref#116704. The other calls also had reference numbers, but I have since tossed them out because they will stop calling for a little while then they start up the bs fishing expedition that they are currently on with the calls to my parents.

They have called my family members, my job and when I called them to tell them they were to cease and desist with contacting my place of business and my relatives, and asking for more info (that he didn’t have) the person got very nasty, told me that they could and would continue with the calls and someone will be calling back. He then cowardly proceeded to hang up on me. I tried calling right back and they wouldn’t answer. Let the call go to a scripted voicemail. He wasn’t too happy that I knew my consumer rights and that we have a right to request and they must comply otherwise they could be subject to a lawsuit themselves. I use to work for collections so I know a few of their tactics.

Left a voicemail about a claim against my father. #1. My father would never give out my phone number #2. I know my father does not take out loans.
I am glad to see that this is a scam. Luckily it reached me and not him because I would be worried he might know it was a scam.

Left message stating I must call them immediately. Here is transcript:

I do not have any outstanding debt or owe anyone money. Blocking this number. SCAM!

I got this exact message, different file #. They have called my family members as well as my brothers manager at a large company. How embarrassing. I too have no outstanding debt or owe anyone money. They are relentless, I have reported to the FTC, however this has been going on for years and I don't see an end in sight.

Caller claimed I owed money to bank, he was so very rude. Told me I was the problem with this country because I dont pay by debt, it's people like me that make it hard on others and they will see to it that I get sued. Said I was a loser and low life N-word. I hung up tried to call back went to voice mail 830.216.8687

They called my phone, my husband phone and my sister’s phone looking for me and accusing me of owing overdraft fees to a bank I was never with. The rep got extremely rude when I tried to get information about the company he was calling from. This is the number they called from (754) 209-1676.

Called me demanding I pay US Bank when I have no record of having a bank account with that bank at all. Then proceeded to tell me they have mailed out proof to my address when they haven't. They have not sent a detailed bill. Absolutely nothing

Robo call threatening civil suit and wage garnishment against your social security number. Call immediately to avoid this as it will happen within a day or two. Call the above number. Also gave some bogus file number 11460.
