The company offered services to assist me with student loan forgiveness due to a class action lawsuit against the school I attended, which was valid. However I was advised by the dept of education that I shouldn't be charged an upfront fee for assistance and provided me the correct information to submit for free on my own. I emailed my point of contact Martin to advise that I wanted to cancel. His response was unprofessional advising that he couldn't do it and that I had to call. When I called I was advised that the cancellation dept was closed and that I would get a call on Monday since it was 4:25pm on a Friday. Martin then called me at 7:17am Monday morning stating he didn't know what the cancellation was about and to call him to talk about it. When I called his direct line I didn't get an answer and left a voicemail. I then called the main line to be told the cancellation dept was there on Friday and my account had been closed but I was still charged for the services that Friday. She advised the supervisor Mike would call me back which he never did. I followed up on Tuesday to be advised I would get a confirmation email of my cancellation by end of day which I did not receive.

Back on March 19th 2019, I received a call from an Agent named Tyler Storey . He stated he worked for a Student loan forgiveness company called Nexum solutions . He went through a whole run down about the company and how they help and are connected with helping people pay off their Student loans ect. Fast forwarding the process. We get to an agreement of how much would come out of my account automatically each month and what i had to pay currently ect. I signned documents and initiated the dates of withdrawals ect.

After all the years i finally go to check and see how much i still owe . I went back to the email that included all the info. On it , i find the contact info . Go to reach out to the numbers listed and none of them work. The websites listen aren't recognized. The address provided doesn't list the company. I Google the company info and things pop up like scams info ect.

I feel very foolish and crushed that ive been scammed all these year's. I haven't even began to calculate how much total has been stolen from me. Here i am at the age of 31 trying to get out of debt and i get scammed. Im currently trying to stop any future payments through my bank .

I received a text from the *** ********* ****** stating that they had been trying to reach me regarding my student loan forgiveness. Mind you this is all happening around the time that loans were being forgiven so I didn’t think anything of it. I called and spoke to the gal on the phone she told me that if I paid at first it started off being I believe 300 hundred a month for 4 months and then it would reduce to 100 a month for 2 years that my loan would be forgiven because I qualified for the loan forgiveness. I questioned her and said well, if I qualified then why do I have to pay anything? She said “ that I had to pay for 2 years and then it would all be forgiven and I would owe nothing.” Now, I am single I work 2 jobs plus I donate plasma just to barely make ends meet so you can imagine this sounded good to me. I told her that I can’t afford to pay what she wanted me to pay so she lowered it and I paid 155 for 4 months and the the next 18 months it would be 19 dollars a month, the 155 was still kind of high but I just kept thinking well her through the next 4 months and you got this. I paid the 4 months of 155 then I get an email in August from the Department of Education telling me my loan will be coming due in October and to watch out for people trying to scam. After getting that email I started to google the numbers and sure enough there have been others that have experienced the same thing as me. Being scammed by this same company. I googled the address and that comes up as a UPS store I called them they do not have any businesses in that complex by New Education Relief. I talked to my student loan carrier they have never heard of them and basically told me that any money that I gave them went straight into their pocket and would not go towards my student loans. My student loans will not be forgiven after 2 years at lease not that way by them. So I filed fraud with my bank against them and will see what happens. I am trying to get this out to every possible customer complaint department that I can, trying to save others from this happening to.

On 7-17-23 at approximately 1 pm I received an email from Arlo Pinto with Processing Assist Inc stating that my student loans for eligible for forgiveness under new 2023 deadlines. I had applied for student loan forgiveness on the FAFSA website and thought it was them contacting me regarding my information. After I had given all of my confidential information to John Latrell, with Processing Assist company, I then had realized it was scam after sending me a third party contract/agreement. In the contract, it had stated that Processing Assist Inc was not affiliated with the Department of Education. I then had realized it was a scam and that I had given them all of my information that could possibly steal my identity.

The scammer reached me through the phone, offering me a chance at loan forgiveness. I ended up qualifying, so I signed up to receive partial loan forgiveness since I am a teacher. We continued contacting through email. They got my debit card number, credit card number, and my Social Security number. I signed a contract. I thought it was legit because my dad applied for parent loan forgiveness and they said he "did not qualify". The photo included is the email I received when I first signed up. I signed up in July 2022 and they continued to take a $199 payment through December 2022. They said in January, my payments would go down to $80 a month for the next 10 years or something like that. He said if I missed a payment that I would disqualify me so I kept a watch on my bank statement. In February of 2023, I noticed I hadn't had a payment withdrawn since December. Before I realized it was a scam, I email them asking if everything was okay. I never heard back. I decided to check my FAFSA to see if the $1200 I had paid had been taking off of my student loan debt and it had showed that I had $0 paid. That was when I realized it was a scam and reported it to my bank. By that point it was too late to receive a full refund for the damages.

Back in February of 2023, DOC HELP NEEDS reached out to me via email to set up student loan consolidation. March 23,2023 DOC NEEDS HELP took $799 from my bank account. I was supposed to hear from them to start payments by June 9,2023. I hadn’t heard anything so I called and they are trying to tell me it took 3 months to get my application ready to send to the Department of Education. However, I had just gotten off the phone with the Department of Education five minutes prior to speaking to Maria at DOC HELP NEEDS. Maria would not answer any of my questions properly. I got scammed out of $799… what a fool I’ve been. On top of it all, they have all of my personal information. Everything to steal my identity.

They sent a letter concerning my student loan debt and offered to consolidate it and offer student loan forgiveness. They posed at the studentaid.gov website and it encouraged me to login and get started. I did not find what they were telling me to look for on the website so I called the number on the letter and they walked me through their "loan forgiveness application", which included asking me for my name, email, phone, address, references, my SSN and DOB. They then sent me documents to sign for payment for the application, which amounted to over $1000.

On 08/03/2020 I was contacted by Alum Financial in regards to student load forgiveness program. Edith Gonzales was the representative we went through a series of questions and following out call she sent me documentation to be completed that showed proof of income I was then informed my information would be sent to the department of education. I was charged my first lump sum of $239.80 from 09/15/2020 to 01/15/2020 via my Chase Debit Card during those months I was charged a total of 959.20. Following being charged monthly payments from 01/15/21-10/14/22 of $49.00 giving me a total of $1078.00. All together from 09/15/2020-10/14/2022 I was charged $2037.20

Since Dec of 2021 I have been making payments to this company for my student loans. Only to find out upon checking with my actual loan processor Nelnet that this "New Education Relief " company is a scam and has already gotten a lot of money out of people for nothing!!!

Because of this I am now almost 3 whole years behind on my student loans!!! If the government knows this is happening they should provide credit towards my loans. I would of course provide all of my payments via bank statements.

Nope these guys just robbed me for 3 years almost!!!

So the scammers text me as a student loan forgiveness program. I called them twice on the second call they told me they were would help me with my student loans by forgiving a certain amount and I would old have to pay back a certain amount, they sound legit so I end up giving the social security number, my driver's license number and debit card number. Also signed some papers. I know it was stupid, and I was able to get a new debit card, but I am word about my social and driver's license being out there. I also don't want this to happen to anyone else. Hopefully this helps someone in the future.

Initially the man called and said we can consolidate your student loan claiming to be with a company called national document experts. Give us 350 for 2 months and then 40 dollars after that every month. When I first gave him my info I lived in Michigan that bank account is closed . Unfortunately, I have been scammed by an organization by the name of, "Student Loan Movement." (SLM), that falsely claimed to be associated with the Department of Education.

I was approached by this org on May 21st, 2021, and have been paying them monthly since June 2021. They enrolled me in an alleged student loan relief program called "REPAYE" which required a payment of $1,1194, which was paid over the span of the following 6 months, $199 per month. They claimed it was a program that was offered for a limited time only.

After that payment was made, I was officially in the program, in which case my loans were "consolidated" and my monthly payments dropped from $199 to $39.97 (except Jan 2023, which was $49.97, likely because the payment bounced). I've been paying this monthly amount ever since December of 2021, which has resulted in an additional $639.32 of payments. These payments of $39.37 were to continue for another 240 months, which would result in about $9,600 (+ the $1,833.32 already paid), as opposed to the amount that I currently owe in student loans. Basically, I was falsely given the opportunity to have more than half of my student loans relieved.

As of 4/18/2023, I've come to the realization that Student Loan Movement is a scam. I confirmed this by confirming my true loan service provider (Nelnet), and logging into my account-- there was no history of any of these payments I've made over the past 2 years. Furthermore, the one and only email I’ve received from Nelnet since they took over my loans in April 2022, was the one they sent to confirm the switch, which likely has something to do with SLM altering my notification and account settings.

Additionally, they make it a point to make it very clear NOT to change any login credentials that they’ve provided me so that they can have full access to my account.

Please see to it that Student Loan Movement is shut down for good.
