Initially the man called and said we can consolidate your student loan claiming to be with a company called national document experts. Give us 350 for 2 months and then 40 dollars after that every month. When I first gave him my info I lived in Michigan that bank account is closed . And now I live in Maryland and bank with chase and the 40 is auto debited. He asked for pay stubs through email which I gave .. I believe he tried to file unemployment as well when I was actively working.

Unfortunately, I have been scammed by an organization by the name of, "Student Loan Movement." (SLM), that falsely claimed to be associated with the Department of Education.

I was approached by this org on May 21st, 2021, and have been paying them monthly since June 2021. They enrolled me in an alleged student loan relief program called "REPAYE" which required a payment of $1,1194, which was paid over the span of the following 6 months, $199 per month. They claimed it was a program that was offered for a limited time only.

After that payment was made, I was officially in the program, in which case my loans were "consolidated" and my monthly payments dropped from $199 to $39.97 (except Jan 2023, which was $49.97, likely because the payment bounced). I've been paying this monthly amount ever since December of 2021, which has resulted in an additional $639.32 of payments. These payments of $39.37 were to continue for another 240 months, which would result in about $9,600 (+ the $1,833.32 already paid), as opposed to the amount that I currently owe in student loans. Basically, I was falsely given the opportunity to have more than half of my student loans relieved.

As of 4/18/2023, I've come to the realization that Student Loan Movement is a scam. I confirmed this by confirming my true loan service provider (Nelnet), and logging into my account-- there was no history of any of these payments I've made over the past 2 years. Furthermore, the one and only email I’ve received from Nelnet since they took over my loans in April 2022, was the one they sent to confirm the switch, which likely has something to do with SLM altering my notification and account settings.

Additionally, they make it a point to make it very clear NOT to change any login credentials that they’ve provided me so that they can have full access to my account.

Please see to it that Student Loan Movement is shut down for good.

Please help me to retrieve this amount of my life savings money in this difficult time. Thanks

The company called and offered assistance with my student loans and getting them pushed through for loan forgiveness. I agreed and paid them $1800 over 6 months and now have not heard anything from them, They are not taking my calls, returning my calls, I have called the company and have not heard from anyone. That was when I started looking deeper into the company and realized I have been taken advantage of. When you call their toll free number you get Bernice, she never has returned my call or answered my phone calls. The person Andrew Harris I was working with no longer returns my calls or answers his emails or calls. I will be looking into filing a complaint with my bank.

This company contacted me years ago saying they worked with student loans providers to consolidate education debt. They were operating under a title that President Obama decreed that helped with student loans. Obviously I had heard about his involvement in education loans and figured this was a proxy to those reliefs. Well I signed the paperwork and every month I have been paying the $39.00. I log into FedLoan today for tax documents for paid interest information. There are no payments. FedLoan websites directs to student loan provider. I log into the student loan provider and check payment history. There’s no payment history. There’s never been any account transfer to or from “Cornerstone Doc Prep” and my education loans have been under the original provider ever since enrollment! This company is totally fake and has been taking money for me, and countless others. Please investigate.

Called Navient. They answered and said they had a relief payment plan. Been drafting 69.00 from credit card each month, after initial $500.00 payment. Never any phone calls answered or emails. Today they call and claim loan forgiven, but to get $2, 200 refund I was made to verify all personal info and repeat credit card number in full claiming they only had last 4 digits. Then they would issue refund after one more payment by Pay Pal or other such app. I had to cancel my credit card!

Text my phone stating that they can help erase student debt from schools provided on a list totaling 40,000. Took my information and try to scam money. Read reviews and they are not accredited by ScamPulse.com

I was contacted by Alex Young from Students Come First. He said that his company could forgive my student loans and that I qualified. He said I would pay a payment of 207.00 and then it would be reduced to 77.00, and then down to zero until the loan matures in 25 years it would be forgiven. I thought the payments would be going to my actual student loans. Before I agreed I looked them up on the Better Business Bureau at the time and no one had reported them so I thought it was legit. I signed the paperwork. All online and over the phone. They withdrew the payments from my checking accounts as bank drafts and then as ACH Student CF. They came out monthly from 10-15-2020 and then stopped abruptly on September 16th 2021. They took 1704.00 out of my account. And now Alex's is phone number isn't active and the website is non-existent. Alex stopped returning my calls when I started asking questions. They also took over communicating with Navient my student loan provider so thats why I though the payments where going to them. I recently got a past due notice from Navient and that's how I realized I had been scammed. There were parts of the fine print on the paperwork that I didn't see prior to signing.

I was called by SL Finance back in November 2021 right after I dropped out of college. I had a loan balance of about 18,000 in my name. The company claimed to help allowing as low as $30 to towards the owed balance or loan forgiveness. However since I've joined none of my payments has gone towards my debt. Now It says I owe $19,806 and I don't know what to do. The university has sent debt collectors after me and I told them that I'm in the process of repaying my debt. Now I know its a scam because the school shouldn't be after me to pay a balance I thought I was already paying since 2021.

I was contacted by the Student Processing Center and put on a program that was supposed to pay off. my student loans. The problem was that they had ALL the information about my student loans so they seemed completely legitimate. I thought I was paying off my student loans for more than two years until the the real company who had taken over my student loans from UHEA contacted me for payment. They had no history of any payment on my account.

I tried to contact the Student Processing Center with the number they gave me, the number on their website, and the number my bank gave me- they were all invalid numbers.

Scholastic Solutions stated they worked with department of education and they helped people lower their payments by consolidating their loans. They charged a fee of 299.66 for the first payment and then 299.67 and then 200.67 equaling 800, the new payments would then be 39.00 for the duration of the student loan. Nothing has been paid to my student loan and I can not contact anyone. The number is disconnected. Please assist in any way you can.

- North Chelmsford, MA, USA

I was contacted by Brandon S of Refined Document Services who stated that they are trying to help me with my PSLF government application I applied for as I work for a non-profit organization; he contacted me and he told me he works for a government organization and will help me qualify for loan forgiveness program qualification and told me I didn't qualify for the student loan forgiveness and that they would help me get there for the next 10 years. He said that I need to pay them for the next 10 years starting with 199.38 for 6months which is actually their fee for 6months totaling $1199.00, I just found that out, I guess I should have read all the edocuments they were rushing me with and pointing out to me where to sign. After that, I will only be paying about ~$170.00 per month for the next 10 years which included a $29.00 a month fee for the next 10 years. I was sent lots of electronic paperwork to sign so of course, thinking this was a Government Education company on behalf of my loan servicer Mohela, I fell for it and when I looked at my account in Mohela, I didn't see any of my payments being posted so I called and asked, got the worst customer service ever, when questioning about a statement to see where my payment was going they all got agitated and hung up on me - Maria, Megan and another one I believe didn't get her name or maybe it's the same person, I sent a note to them afterwards telling them that I would file a complaint of misrepresentation of business policy, I guess they didn't like it and when I tried to call back, they blocked my phone number too, so I got a message that the number is out of service.

They cancelled my account as of today 12/9/2022 and said no payment will come out of my account again, I am hoping so but they will only be refunding me 1 of my 2 payments.

I want to make folks aware that this company is not affiliated with any government education loans and they are charging you to get you qualified according to them, for loan forgiveness, I was already paying my bills. Brandon actually told me that they didn't get my application which of course he didn't get it because they are not part of the process and that I didn't qualify, he had all of my personal information - ssn, bday, loan account, address, how on earth did that company get that information- even how much my loan was, so that's what got me, I really thought it was legitimate.

I am so annoyed because I fell for such nonsense by not taking time to read the fine prints and falling for such nonsense.

I filled out the Student Loan Forgiveness application through Federal Aid and filled out my email and phone number. Was told I may receive a call for approval. I received a call from Ian Esguerra representing Xcel Consulting Services saying my debt relief has been approved. They had all my Student Loan information and who my loans are through. Ian said I was approved for half of the amount to be forgiven through a graduate program and sent me emails and documents to sign. They said I would pay $199.80 for the first 5 months and then $99.00 for 85 months and then the rest of my loans would be washed. I provided them my checking account information to begin the payments. They asked for paystubs from my employer which I provided as well. My SSN was blacked out on those. After speaking with my loan provider, Mohela, they say it was a scam due to the Debt Cancelation program being held up in court with the Biden/Harris administration. They said the only calls I would receive are from Federal Student Aid or Mohela (my loan provider) themselves if/when the debt relief is approved.

This company claimed they would help me with my student loan Forgiveness program - also claimed they are a 3rd party contractor. Asked for my email address and birthdate to access my student loan account. Then wanted my bi weekly or monthly salary. Offered a one time payment of $499 and 60 per month for 3 years to pay off a portion of a $9000 student debe for $3300. Then asked for bank account or debit card information. They claimed to want me to, "Let there Student Loan Advisers at Processing Docs Solutions assist me to identifying the best types of government programs available for me that can provide payment relief and possible loan forgiveness." I asked for their website to see if they were legit, the firs thing I saw was scam alert. Website www.ProdocsScan.com Phone 240-220-6191 Maryland. Caller name Jahnelle. Immediately declined and changed my loan account info and blocked their phone and email.
