Took $1000 and never showed up. Became abusive and irate when I inquired, and further flipped the switch when I said I wanted my deposit back. Refusing to return the $1000. Agreed to give back $500 but then said he’s keeping it all. I’ve informed him of consumer protection laws. Lucky for me I am very equipped in the legal system with a family of private investigators, lawyers and police so I know I’ll get my money back. Police report filed. Have also contacted the bank. They will investigate with the bank that he is using to receive deposits. This guy is a scammer and not a very bright one. His powder blue suit and Louis Vuitton belt is a front. The guy drives a crappy old Hyundai. He’s a nobody trying to be a somebody. He sent me screen shots from other irate customers (including their phone numbers) as if to say look, I piss a lot of people off and I’m still operating. As mentioned he is not very bright.
Beware and stay away.

I researched his contact info as something seemed off about Omid. I found this website and BBB with people complaining of their experiences. I called Omid and told him what I found and that remaining balance would be when the job is finished. He disagreed and said people were trying to malign him and he took them to court. He said the job wasn't profitable for him and that he will return the $100 deposit. Once call was done, he texted back saying he isn't going to return the deposit and to do my worse. I was willing to give the guy a chance to get back into business and fix his reputation but he chose to go back to his fraudulent ways. I filed complaint with Police and provided them all the screenshots and backups. Buyer beware.

Mr. Abbasi should not be trusted and will cause much pain and stress in trying to complete a project.
He went so far as to compare himself to McDonalds and Walmart claiming that they have bad reviews and we shouldn't be so quick to judge. I did not judge whatsoever; I used my own personal experience to share here.
At first, he was so pleasant and seemingly forthcoming about himself. He made false claims and promises on what could be accomplished. Once he received my deposit, the job went sideways. He was hostile, impolite and eventually unreachable.
Only after I threatened to get the police involved did Omid finally return my deposit the same day after weeks of waiting. He uses tactics and dishonesty to evade his responsibilities.
Do yourself a favour and find another contractor.
