My wife found a dog breeder on Facebook that seemed reputable. The Facebook page had the wife and husband, pictures of puppies, and what appeared to be normal posts a person posts on Facebook. All of that was stolen photos to make the Facebook page look legitimate and real. She purchased a puppy 10/24/24 for $400 through Apple Cash and they were supposed to ship with speedsendlogistics.com. They requested an additional $250 for shipping insurance 10/06/24 that was to be refunded at time of delivery. On delivery day they then requested an additional $550 to cross state lines and that's when we felt like we were being scammed. The website speedsendlogistics.com actually took the tracking number and showed the shipping location, the person shipping the puppy, and our information shipping address. Very elaborate scam as the shipping address was an actual breeder but when we called we discovered that they were using that breeders address to make the scam feel more believable. The website speedsendlogistics.com is still on the web. My wife then messaged the fake seller and said we knew we were being scammed and with in 5 minutes the Facebook page was deleted and the iMessage conversation was deleted. We want the shipping website reported as a scam to hopefully keep this from happening to others in the future.
