Overcharged by locksmith after being locked out of home
About 2 hrs after the initial call, a young man drove up in an SUV.
He had to drill the lock in order to gain entry. Took less than 20 min. I refused a new lock.
He charged $450 for the work, $79 for the call, and sales tax amounting to $597.97.
I felt that the charge was excessive since I refused a new lock.
Today I checked the credit card. The payor listed was "SP BSD Locksmith LLC, Redwood City, CA." Not American Star Locksmith.
On searching the entity on google.com, I learned that it was a scam source.
