They called and wanted to cancel my SS cards because they said Social Security had a breach because of a website that I had tried to login into. I didn't give out any info. I asked why were they calling me from Connecticut while I live in Ky? And he just said we need to cancel your cards ASAP. That's when I hung up.

social security... called to offer benefits, money.

Keeps leaving voice mails that social security administration is going to take legal action against me unless I call.

Received 2 telephone calls from Officer Gary Cole - stating they were to start legal enforcement action due to fraudulent activity with my social security number. I needed to contact them at 915-302-9123 before they started legal procedures against me.

My 54 year old disabled son received a call Monday on his home telephone. He does not have caller ID. I do not know the phone number. The caller said they were with Social Security I believe. They said his Social Security number was stolen. Please give us your number and we can fix it. My son got scared and gave out his Social Security number over the phone. I called Social Security and the bank and reported it.

I received 3 calls today, I missed the first 2 and they left a voice mail. The call I took and they claimed to be the Social Security Administration.

The man I spoke with was wanting information about me. SS#, Address, state that my SS card was issued in...I would not give him this info until he informed me what it was about...finally he said that my Social Security number was being used in Texas for drug trafficking and other illegal use and then he tried again to get the info. I told him I do not give out such info because I don't know who he is. He claimed again he was the Social Security Administration. I told him anyone can claim that and that I would not give it out. He then told me he would connect me with the DEA and then the phone went dead. There was lots of noise in the background as if other calls were being made. The man I spoke with had a heavy Pakistan or Indian accent and it seemed to me if he knew my phone number he would have all this info he was seeking. His number was 510-580-3891.

Called and said my SSN had been compromised and asked for a call back.

- Chillicothe, OH, USA

I got a message from Social Security saying there was fraud. I called the number back, 432-200-0127. The man said he was with social security and that someone had been using my social security number, He verified my social security number. He said my social security number was tied to fraud case. My number had been used to rent a car had been left running alongside the road for two days in Texas. He said my social security number had been tied to money laundering, fraud and drug charges. He wanted my checking and savings account numbers to see if money had been deposited into the accounts. He said if I lied or didn't tell the truth, I would be prosecuted. He asked if I had a debit card. He transferred the call to another man who asked if I had money in either account, and I said no. The scammer said, "Then forget the number and forget the call". He sounded foreign. I could hear others in the background talking.

I received a phone call from a foreign sounding lady today. She claimed she was from Social Security and said that I was in trouble. They had a warrant out for my arrest. She claimed they found they found my car in Texas and it contained drugs. I stated that I have never been in Texas and I never had anything to do with drugs. They claimed I owed $200,000.00 and they were coming to arrest me today. She did ask for my social security number. I was really upset and I give gave it to them along with my address. I did contact the police by phone. I will also notify social security, banks and credit reporting bureaus. I know know that was a mistake & do not want others to fall for this scam.
