My friend is looking for a small apartment and saw this ad for a cute place for just $700 a month on Craigslist. When she approached the "owner," he gave her a link to check her credit score, which she used to provide her cc info. Then the man got increasingly insistent that she visit scores511.housingrentals.online to complete a "refundable" application. When I told me friend to tell the man she would only fill out the app AFTER seeing the property, the man got upset. I told my friend to immediately block him and report it to her credit card company.
