Caller claim they were with a law firm on behalf of a collection agency. Said i missed papers that were served to me and that i missed my day in court and that they would issue a lean against my car if i didn't pay. I asked how they spelled the name "Schaffer Group" and they put me on hold to transfer me and never pickyed up or answered agian.

I received a call from John with Schaffer Group at (877) 862-0605, x. 601. He said I had not paid back Checksmart. He told me I must pay $1415.29 by Friday, or he would freeze my bank account, and my current auto loan would be defaluted until the loan was repaid. He told me to call back today. He said once it's paid, he would forward a dismissal letter and a paid in full receipt. He does not have an accent. In the past I was scammed by Cashapp when I googled their phone number, and gave them my account information, and lost $2000. That guy had an accent.
