Scammer said hello, i responded the same, the scammer asked "can you hear me?", i said, yes, scammer hung up.

I received a phone call and the person said "hello? hello?" and I responded "yes?" and they immediately hung up. I realized at that point, they probably recorded my "yes" answer.

The "Say Yes" scam. Called my extension at my place of business. I answered with my normal greeting (including my name) they repeated my name back to me and as I was multi-tasking, I absently said "Yes". They hung up. This just happened so nothing has impacted me just yet.

I belive it was one of those calls to get you to say yes. Where they say is this ....

They got confirmation it was me and they were able to record my yes. They asked it was me first. If not I believe it was some kind of scam to steal my property.

They asked if I could hear them and I said yes.

Caller was a male asking if I could hear him. It paused like phone dropped and asked again. I replied yes as I thought it was a business calling I was expecting. This is a known scam. They record your voice saying yes

Recording asks "Can you hear me?" "Is anyone there?" "I can't hear you" and so on repeatedly I believe to get my verbal voiceprint and try to get into financial services

The scammer asked for me by my name, then told me something related to me to get an agreeing answer from me

This woman kept asking if it was me then saying my HNC resident license expired in 2017, I said what is that?, explain more! Then she said, I gotta go! And hung up. What an [censored]

Received as call asking "can you hear me", followed by them saying the line wasn't good and they would call back. I received another call immediately from the same number but did not pick up.

I applied for a job from a website that asked for my phone number. I received a call an hour later with somebody asking if I could hear them okay and then no response. One of those"say yes" scams.
