I heard my name spoken twice in quick succession so said, "Yes". I waited a couple of minutes after the call was ended and then, when I called back, the number had been "disconnected".

I recently had a package go missing while in transit via UPS. Several days later, I received a call from an alleged UPS number claiming to have information on my lost package. When returning the call, the person answering asked, “I’m sorry, can you hear me ok?”, attempting to get me to say yes (the “yes” scam).

Scammer asks to speak to a manager. When you respond yes, they then ask, is this "Add person name?" When you confirm by saying, Yes it is or yes I am, they hang up.

Supposedly use this as a voice recording to some how steal personal information down the road. It is becoming a huge problem with the onset of Artificial Intelligence.

Don't remember if I said yes. Heard funny sound like bad connection, I said, you are breaking up, i can't hear or understand you. Person said she would call some other time, and hung up.

The caller asked "how are you feeling today" I answered "okay". he then asked did I receive my new Social Security card, and I started to say yes, but he abruptly hung up.

I answered a phone call while totally off-guard. It seemed to claim it's a company that offers extended vehicle warranty. Then it sounded like it's one of those 'say yes' calls. They asked if i still own my car model, i said 'yes' then they asked how many miles i got, i said the milage which is a high value number, then they hung up immediately. I think they wanted to record me saying yes and saying a number. It also sounded robotic a bit, but smart to have a kinda normal conversation like humans.

Area code appeared to be local. Caller said “can you hear me” and without thinking said “yes I can”. Caller then immediately hung up. This was on 1/17/2024. I’m not sure if I will lose money or not.

This phone number kept calling me so I finally called it back and this person answered and said thank you for calling Sunset Gardens, is this Valarie? To which I said, yeah, what do you want? Then started talking and hung up in the middle of talking. So, they have my "yeah" recorded.

I was expecting a phone call from maintenance person when “unavailable” phone number called and I accidentally answered “yes” when she uttered my name. It was silence after I said yes and then I realized that this is one of the scams I read something about. I called the number (619-975-4121) and operator said my call can not be completed.
