This was a phone call with bad connection. I didn't recognize the number but was expecting a call for a biopsy result so I answered. I was caught off guard when the caller asked if I could hear her and I responded "yea", then she immediately hung up. I realized this was the yes phone scam. Be warned of calls from this number or similar.

I received a call saying "Cynthia" and I automatically said, "YES" and they hung up. I tried to call them back and the message I got was "You have successfully reached a voice mailbox. Please leave a message after the tone." I tried leaving them a text by saying "Who is this? You called me and then hung up. What did you want?" with no response.

A person with a heavy accent called and my house is for sale so I answered it because of the name. I was caught off guard and he said Hello then said I can't hear you can you hear me. Dummy me I said yes. He then said I can't hear you I'll call you back and hung up. I blocked his number and notified you.

Caller asked can you hear me. I said yes. The person calling said something about checking a system. Thanked me and said goodbye.

Got a call and asked if this was **** ******. I don't recall what I said but may have said yes, or this is ****. Caller hung up. I recalled there was a phone scam where scammer got person to say yes. That's why I sent this to you. What should I do?

I received a call asking "I'm looking for [my name]." When I said "this is [my name]," the caller hung up. I called them back only to find the number was spoofed.

I believe this was like the "yes scam," only they were hoping to get a recording of me saying my name.

Call showed up as “healthcare,” I said yellow and the rep paused and then said “I’m having trouble hearing you, can you hear me on?” I said “yes” and the ln realized it was a fake call and hung up.

The person on the other end of the phone said Melissa?, I said yes. There was a pause and a different voice came onto the phone and said "can you hear me". I hung up. The phone number I listed is the number used.

I was called by a robo-call offering a free medical alert button and medicare policies. Someone came on the line & immediately asked me 'can you hear me ok & I said yes". Them I realized that it was a scam to getu recorded voice& I hung up immediately.

Unfortunately, I answered a yes scam on my phone while driving. Caller immediately hung up. I froze my credit cards and my credit. I am writing to document the incident should I need to show as proof.

I was expecting a call from UPS. When the phone rang I thought it was them. I started to explain why I called and they asked if I knew who this was and I said "yes". Then they hung up. I knew then it was a scam call.

Male with an accent called from 530-481-5784 to my cell phone, stated he was from US Customs," Are you RXXXX PXXXX. Initially I said "wrong person". He said "there is a package for RXXXX PXXXX, do you know this person?" So I said "I know where to reach this person". He then said - "so you know RXXXX ?". I said "yes". I heard a mechanical click, a pause, then he hung up.

In retrospect, he was trying to get me to say "yes" and most likely recorded it.

Hello, hello back and forth and she said can you hear me and i said yes, then she sat there and said nothing and i said i was going to report the phone number. I just got home from the surgicenter and had answered numbers i didn't know from the hospital so I thought this could be another call i should answer but discovered it's a seemingly scammer and i want to report it so they don't use it for any type of fraud.

They asked if I am (my name) and as soon as I said “yes” they hung up the phone. I called back they claimed they’re a private real estate investment firm and if I’m interested in selling them property.

I answered the phone. The person asked "Is this Mary?" Without thinking I said "Yes" then realized that was a bad idea. They immediately hung up and when I tried calling back the lne was dead. I'm afraid they will record my response and use it for fraud.

Possible "yes" scamming. Called before 7 a.m. - said they were calling about a rental verification. Ask if this was, (my name), and stupidly, I said "yes" and then they hung up.
