The phone number was a prior number we had saved, and listed as a number for Norman Garage Door, Inc., possibly a prior number purchased by this scam company. The contractor purported to serve as a contractor for Norman Garage Door, Inc. He did the work and presented us with a bill for 3000, which was double the initial estimate of 1400. He requested that we make the check to Salomon Service Group. Unfortunately the work was already done before we realized we were being scammed. The invoice had a generic business name, different phone number, and unreadable email (attached). We called to ask them to come take the parts and we will stop the check, however given safety concerns, decided against it. We are reporting here and to local authorities. They also purported to contract for Bill’s Garage Door out of Oklahoma City.
