Same as the previous complaint. Sent a detailed questionnaire then a job offer, then an employment contract to be signed with drivers license copy, then wanted to send a check for me to purchase the necessary money.

I am a video editor located in the greater New Jersey and Philadelphia area. I have been looking for new employment for a little over a week. I received an email yesterday from an account claiming to be Run Studios HR manager inviting me to interview for a remote position with the company.

I set up a "text interview" with the "recruiting manager". Given that I have been a remote editor for over three years now, I didn't see this as a red flag. I had a great interview and was offered the position less than 24 hours later. I thought this was weird considering I only spoke to a recruiter and not an actual member of the production team. Upon further research I found out that this was an employment scam.
