I purchased a Shih Tzu puppy but never received the puppy. I was asked to keep paying for useless things

I was searching for a miniature Shih Tzu and contacted Rosemary and George. Expecting the $500 to be a holding deposit, as these puppies average $2k, I was immediately suspicious when I was told the $500 is the total fee, but also includes ground or air transportation with delivery to my home. Rosemary even sent me additional photos and video of Coco.

Even before we discussed the purchase of the puppy, Rosemary begins by telling me she needed my full name, address, and driver license number. I inquired why there are no public online reviews, to which Rosemary referred me to the 5 reviews on her web page. Altho, with further searching, there are many negative reviews by people that have been scammed $500 to $1500 for puppies they never received. Check out scampulse.com, look at how many people have 'purchased' Coco. Read the lies people have been told and how far this couple will go with their scam. I inquired about the low rating of their web server, declaring the site to be a scam.

I asked if I could speak to the vet that has seen Coco. I was given the number 320 421 7597. I called it 3 times. No answer, no voice service, no message identifying the business. I emailed to Rosemary that no one was answering. Suddenly, somehow, the vet called me. 'Dr. Henry' stated that he treats Rosemary's pets and they are in great health. When I asked his location, he told me MetroPet on Hennipin Ave. I quickly pulled it up and asked why his number was different than the number listed online, which was 612 374 4414, he stated they were having the number online changed to the correct number this week. Yes, including the area code. As soon as we hung up, I immediately called MetroPet. There isn't a Dr. Henry there, who actually turned out to be Rosemary's husband, George.

As soon as I called her out for being a scammer, she immediately stopped talking with me.

Scammer sold victim a puppy for $500 that covered delivery as well. Scammer then tried to get victim to pay for insurance for the delivery. Victim refused and has heard nothing from the scammer

I reached out to purchase a puppy named Coco. The guy said his name was Josh. I had what I thought was a good experience. He said his wife would meet me, so we left to go get my daughter a puppy. Got to where we were going to meet. Waited for two hrs. Finally he txt me and said she was in an accident. Even sent me a pic of her car. I had already put $100 on a Walmart money card, took pics, and sent to him. He had $100 for what he said to file the AKC registration. Needless to say, they never showed. The next day I drove an hr back to meeting spot and he was gonna meet us. After a half hr from when he said he would b there, he called and said that the puppy patrol had pulled him over. I got a call from an Alexandria number of 320-421-7597. They said he couldn’t go any further due to the fact of not having insurance on the puppy. They would give me one day insurance for $500. I said no. I called the sheriffs dept and asked if they had puppy control in MN. She laughed and said, “No we do not. I bet u have been scammed.” I called “Josh” back and told him. All he could say was “Oh God!” Needless to say, my daughter with special needs got scammed by this guy. Be aware.

It started as automated emails from the website where they ask for information about what you are looking for as to the puppy you are interested in - they had 5 on the website (i.e. do you have other dogs, when do you want the puppy, etc.) Then they start texting you at the phone number you provided on the information page, to discuss the purchase of the puppy. They prefer Zelle or CashApp, but we used PayPal and [censored]ically, used the "friends and family" transfer so the seller would not have to pay a fee to withdraw the money, so we have no protection for the failed purchase through PayPal. Only partial payments were made until time for alleged transport of the puppy. Then, we got a call an hour before the puppy was supposed to be on a flight from another number (612-491-1990) advising they had just sent us an email about the need for "100% reimbursable" insurance on the puppy for the transfer, the cost for which was $995.00. We got an email from an email address called "[email protected]" with bad English and incorrect information as to the puppy we were trying to purchase. They even sent us photos of dog crates being loaded onto an airplane. We refused to pay the requested insurance costs and asked the "seller" for a refund of our total payment of $570.00. Of course by that time, we fully realized it was a scam and we received no other emails or communications from the "seller." Our "spidey" senses told us this was a scam after the request for another partial payment, but they kept using "Christian" values and asserting they would "never take another person's hard earned money", and this made us feel feel bad for thinking this person was a scammer, WHICH HE WAS. We should have listened to our "spidey senses and we'd still have our money and could have used it to obtain a true puppy. Any telephone calls from either number were people with foreign accents (we would guess middle eastern or African). We pray there are no puppies at all and that there are no puppies being abused by these horrible people.

The name I been speaking to is George Mills who sold me the Shih Tzu puppy. The puppy was suppose to fly through Airlink Pet Express Delivery Service who I lost $995.00 for insurance to ship the puppy.

- Fountain, CO, USA

They contacted me to get info and give me a price, wanted me to pay upfront for puppy unseen. When I asked about them being on light or scam website the person with heavy middle eastern accent said it was in error but still is there…they pretend to be a female.
