Worked contractually for a company who paid me via direct deposit. In order to give themselves an easy out, they manufactured lies and rumors damaging my name/reputation/business and then used those same lies which they had everyone view as facts to discredit me and fire me due to the outcome of the lies they spread. I was then fired a week later via txt. I’m owed 2 1/2 weeks of pay as well as my employees.
