Same thing happened to me but I edit videos. Became alarmingly suspicious when they said they couldn’t pay the invoice I send them. Came up with horrible excuses on what happened. Accidentally wrote a check for 3k, won’t be able to write a check for another month (don’t even know how that’s possible), but still ended up sending it anyway. I’ve been familiar with this type of scam in the past so once I heard it “I wrote 3000 instead of 300.” I knew it was a scam but had her “send” the check to get more information and warn everyone. I think the video I edited might have used a song that one of you song makers made. It was a great song. Know this type of stuff sucks but keep pushing you’ll do well.

Another day another shattered dream!

Random dude hit me up on IG and asked for a song within 2 weeks! I was up for the challenge but he became extremely suspicious and rude! Decided to Google his bank and this was the first thing I saw ?? My heart is broken but atleast I got a great song out of it ?

I had a woman dm for a job, long story short she sent me a check for $3000 and the job was only $100. She asked me to pay the difference, when I got the email I felt funny and looked up the bank and saw these scam reports. Don't fall for this thank god my wife was saying this is too fishy, she's an underwriter!. Don't do it!

Please be careful artists we are under attack. It sucks but here id my experience i was dmd on Instagram about a week ago. Some guy hit me up about writing a birthday song for his son and was offering me $300 however after i was finished and sent the song over I received a 3k check. I refused to accept it he then said his secretary wrote it for 3000 by mistake. (Who does that and still sends the check) smh. But here is the account if you get messaged by this man report it and block block block.

Guy DM’d me on IG to write a song for his son. Made a whole story about how it was for his birthday and what he wants in the song and what the son would like in it! but he "accidentally" sent 3,000 and said his assistant made a mistake and that I could send the rest back over Zelle. Thought that was hella weird so I looked up the name of the bank and realized it was a scam! Pls be careful guys, I never fall for things like this and almost got fooled! If you see this IG account message you block it!

I was hired by what seemed the owner of Rocktide LLC to write a song for his son but was "accidentally" sent 3,000 so i sent the rest back. He then canceled the check leaving my account in the negative and deleted all his social media accounts.
