The scam is for a job for Robust Energy drink, to drive around with a Robust sticker on your vehicle, and get paid weekly for it.

i received a text on my phone saying i could make 500.00 per week for 12 months and to contact [email protected] for more info.after emailing this person i was told that i would advertise on my truck for a popular energy drink.i was sent a cashiers check for 1950.00 dollars and told to deposit it to my account. the next day the bank deposited the 1950.00 to my account.,having done so i assumed that the check was good.i was told i would have to pay another person to come to my house to put the ad wrap on my truck.i was supposed to wire transfer 1400.00 to someone named bobbie belcourt in whapeton south dakota.several days later the bank notified me that the check was fictitious and that i am liable for the money.the cashiers check was made out to a credit union out of plesanton ca. patelco credit union by a person named glady adams.the person then sends me another text informing me that the ad guy got into a wreck and was in the hospital and needed the rest of the money.450.00 dollars.i had used it to pay some of my rent and did not have the money and they told me that they would send me another check, which never came.

[email protected] is a new scam artist. He tries to send an up front check of $1,950 which $500 you keep, and send the rest to their "expert". They literally used the exact same spiel as in on this website.

A company by the name of Robust Energy Drink is claiming to hire average everyday drivers to place the company ad on their vehicles in exchange for money. They are VERY convincing. there is an actual company website and even the institutions that the fake money orders/ cashier's checks come from are real places. They send out fake money orders/cashier's checks and then tell you that the person who will wrap your car with the ad will contact you and you send them some of the money and keep the rest your first payment for signing up. Afterwards they tell you that the ad installer has gotten into a terrible accident and the rest of the money you were sent is now needed. For your inconvenience, you receive another money order/cashier's check just to find out that you've been scammed. I was in communication with said company employee via email and text message. To my knowledge, the ad installer is still "in the hospital" and they are working on sending out someone else. As it turns out you won't hear anything else from the person.
