Received 2 letters in the mail regarding this situation. Envelope said it was from Home Trust Company 145 King St W Suite 2300, Toronto, ON M5H 1J8 and the letter was on letterhead from Robert Mark Divorce and Family Law Group Barrister & Solicitors 478 Waterloo St, London, ON N6B 2P6. +437-449-2708 www.robertmarklaw.com and email as [email protected]. According to the letters, their client died 2 years ago and the client had a substantial life insurance policy, but no known family could be found. Since addressee had the same last name, the business was going to assume that the addressee was a distant relative of the deceased client. The business wanted to enter into a partnership so the addressee could claim the life insurance policy, either way. the letter is signed Robert Mark with email address [email protected] The letter ends with asking for a high level of confidentiality. This is a scam. Any letter of this form is a scam. Do not initiate contact with these scammers.

Received a letter claiming that the person is Robert Mark from Robert Mark Divorce and Family Law Group. Said there is an unclaimed life insurance policy of his deceased client that is left unclaimed and must be claimed soon. Wants 10% of the money going to charity and split the rest of the 90%. Requested to contact via [email protected].

postal mail with targeted Sr name listed as "Late Dr. Anthony Park" and an $11,550,300 Life Insurance Policy that's gone uncollected. The firm wants to distribute 10% to charity organizations, and the balance "Shared between us". The key that allowed me to find your listing was the "REF: CAPL/EDD/230111" listed on the letter.

There is an active web site which can be found on Google, with matching address, phone, etc.

The letter was simple-mail. Not registered. Also plain copy paper, not bond.

I suspect the web site as being a fraud, and all e-mails found on the letter to be the scammer.

I believe this would be considered International Mail Fraud, which would make it hard to prosecute.
