I checked their certificate, which is registered to a virtual buisness office in Iceland. Called a dealership who had one of their cars based on the vin. The dealer said that they had the car and it was not being auctioned and they had received several similar calls.

The scammer has an auction style website set up. Selling repossessed items from cars to tractors. I had to give a photo of my ID front and back along with a photo of myself. I was looking at a John Deere tractor, I called the number given on the website to ask questions on it. No one answered and had a suspicious voice mail that was not very professional. I could not find much info online. On the tractor I was looking at they had a picture of the serial number and I sent it to a friend who works for John Deere and that tractor is at a deal ship in Williamsport IN. They had it advertised selling out of Muscatine IA. The listing came across my wife’s Facebook.

Online auto auction with in depth website but reviews were all from strange domains and we figured out after we wired money that the information was fake and the escrow company in Florida isnt really an escrow company. The website started 1 week ago and they won’t give our money back.

Reposmaxcomp is an online auction website. When you win the auction they send you a plain invoice with not much info about the car and asks you to send money to totally different bank account under a different company name (Gruberg Auto Warehouse LLC) in FL. There's not much information about this company anywhere online. Only one person answers the phone - her name is Kate. Do not believe anything that she tells you - all the online reviews are fake. The website address of the reviews are fake as well. She will keep telling you that the company has been around since 2015 but as per the website address - the website was registered a week ago on October 5th, 2023.

It’s a site where you bid like at an action on repossessed vehicles. Only form of payment they take is bank wire transfers and expect you to wait to receive your vehicle. The prices are too good to be true.

Reposmaxcomp, LLC is an online company that offers finding your dream car. Many of the vehicles they list on the auction website are prior car rental cars, off-lease used cars, repossessed used cars, government used cars, fleet lease cars, and bank cars. You place a bid if you are the winner they send you an invoice to pay with a wire transfer and the vehicle is then deliver to you. They information for their business license isn’t listed anywhere and I just want to make sure I am not getting scammed. They also have my personal information including a copy of my drivers license.

It's a scam
