I was going into a Safeway in West Seattle at Admiral and California Avenue in West Seattle. A young African American male was selling baked goods that were sold for 20.00 each, under the pretense that the proceeds went to children with disabilities around Washington state. Under the organization RiseUp! Foundation, he tried to charge my debit card once and it declined. So I used another card and it went through. When I left to go to the gas station across the street I checked my account from a notification and noticed he charged me 2,000.00. I went back to confront him and he apologized, told me he'd refund the money. I stood there because he wasn't doing anything to refund me so I told him to show me. Instead he showed me a receipt - that I realize now is a false receipt - for 20.00. So I left thinking nothing of it and now I am finding out others have been scammed by this individual.
