A street vendor outside a grocery store posed as a representative of Rise Up Youth Foundation. They said they were raising funds for youth program. I made an in-person credit card transaction to purchase food for $16.00, however the amount entered into the "tap and pay" phone was $800. The transaction was immediately posted to my phone. I noticed it and before departing I worked with the vendor to correct the error. However, despite promises a refund was forthcoming, no such refund has occurred. It's been one week since the scam. Others are reporting similar scams on Reddit.
